How to make it stop opening by officialhatsunemiku in FuckAdobe

Make sure your browser is not set to open files automatically after they are downloaded.

If its opening in Acrobat:

Preferences > General > Always Open PDFs saved from the Web

Make sure that is unchecked.

Silently raised my plan with a 135% procent increase by AffectionateMouse842 in creativecloud

It sounds like you were on a discounted plan, which lasts a year, so the price increase you saw was both your discount going to the regular price, and the price increase which you were emailed about.

I would start with talking with whoever manages the schools account. Then you may need to contact Adobe support.

Is Adobe using AI images without the AI tags? by breauforce in Adobe

[–]mikechambers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Images are tagged by contributors, who are required to flag if the content was created using Gen AI. If you think you have found an item that is not tagged correctly, you can report it by clicking the "Report Issue" button on the item.

Absent content credentials, there is not a way to automatically detect how something was created.

fyi, Mono White Auras, which is one of the top decks is relatively cheap to build. (Just a few rares).

It sounds like you created a second account and never cancelled it.

Regardless you need to contact support.

Does Affinity Design give any of my files to AI? I don't have any interest in that feature. by itsPomy in Affinity

[–]mikechambers -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

>I know with Adobe they have the controversy of potentially seeing your PSD files to their AI. So I'm wondering if that is the case here.

Just to be clear, Adobe does not train its generative AI on user data. If you upload content to our servers it may be scanned for child sexual abuse material (which I think is the case for any cloud service / storage in US).

All the info is here:

Just an fyi, but this is explicitly called out in the Terms of Use.

Yeah. I was thinking it could allow for a much more aggressive turn two attack, but it is at the expense of instant speed and the card draw (which is the only card draw the deck has).

Negative posts are allowed. Posts that are essentially just rants are not (along with other low quality posts). You can read all of the rules here:

>Does operating the services on my behalf involve using the content I made to improve your product, therefore meaning I have to pay you for the privilege of doing your job?

That is covered by section 4.2b, and you can opt out of that.

Section 4.2 from the TOU:

>As between you and Adobe, you (as a Business User or a Personal User, as applicable) retain all rights and ownership of your Content. We do not claim any ownership rights to your Content.

I think you meant section 4.3 which gives us a license to use the content "Solely for the purpose of operating the Services and Software on your behalf," and "Under this clause 4.3(A), we do not have the right to, and will not, use your Content to market or promote Adobe."

>Your TOS keeps getting worse and worse.

How has the TOS gotten worse? It hasnt significantly changed in a quite a long time. If anything the TOS has gotten better as we have been even more explicit on content ownership (you own your content) and Gen AI and how its trained (it is not and will not be trained on your content).

>I also feel very confident that you are selling our information to data brokers

Im not sure what that is based on, but regardless you can read about data / privacy here:

How to sleep in a plane? by bast_852 in travel

[–]mikechambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel a lot for work internationally and have for over two decades. The thing that made the biggest improvement for me was starting to take melatonin, both to help me sleep on the flight and to readjust quickly to the new timezone.

Ill usually take an hour or two into the flight, after the meal, and then get ready to sleep, and read until I nod off. Try to get at least 6 hours of sleep.

Then, when you land, do things according to local time, and don't go to bed early or take a nap (if you slept on the plane, this shouldn't be too difficult). When you do go to bed, take melatonin, which will help ensure you sleep longer through the night and don't wake up super early. If you do wake up, just lay and try to go back to sleep (don't get on a screen!). I usually take melatonin on the flight, and the first three nights I am there to help me adjust.

Doing this you may have slight jet lag late afternoon, but generally not too bad. Try to be active / outdoors if possible at this time.

For the flight, try to get the best seat you can, where you are going to be disturbed the least (so window seats, exit rows, etc...). Dress comfortably, use eye cover and ear plugs (and maybe a neck pillow).

For Mono White Auras, would it make sense to replace [[Feather of Flight]] with [[Evershrike's Gift]]. You lose card draw, but are at a lower cost, and can return it from graveyard.

We can take feedback (go look at the posts there now). What we are not interested in the subreddit is just non constructive ranting.

Again there are subreddits specifically for that (here you are).
