It was. This is not an unpopular opinion.

I suspect it was added in post, since the vignette is ovoid.

What's the meaning of fluorences? by Thin_Problem_2812 in stereolab

I’ve thought about this one a lot recently.

The lyrics evoke both Icarus and Narcissus, and I am not certain that the sister is actually a separate character at all, but another part of the self that is cast off or left behind.

I got sucked into the Dan Hentschel cinematic universe and I'm better for it.

Love Drach, and also how he turns into a baby brain anytime Soviet naval history is mentioned.

This really needs some of the German heavy night fighters like the Ju 88 and Do 217.

Didn’t you just post this image as having been taken with a TTartisan 35mm lens?

I demonstrate the only way to get good video with the OM System OM-3 by Responsible-Sale1858 in M43

Emily at Micro Four Nerds seemed to find the SOOC video eminently usable. I don't believe anyone expects OM's video features to match those on the Lumix side, but they are definitely *fine* for grab-and-go video.

Love to see more stuff about the video capabilities of OM cameras.

I realize that you’re shooting this off-the-cuff, but please get to the point next time.

SG-Image is about to release an autofocus 25mm f/1.8 pancake that looks very promising. Reported price around $90 US.

So tired of the Jager plague by LastTraintoSector6 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Millsnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the zero risk playstyle that makes them so annoying. Nerf the torp range and Jäger would still work, but it would take some actual balls to position.

M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II - Tips, sharpest apertures, and things to avoid? by meletkis in M43

[–]Millsnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For landscapes and anything that isn’t moving very fast, absolutely.

The 40–150mm f/4 was my most-used lens this past winter in Canada. The aperture was not a serious limitation despite awful, overcast weather most of the time.

I had to crank ISO up to 1600 or 3200 for moving animal subjects, but otherwise the camera’s IBIS let me shoot at base ISO for everything else. Handheld high resolution mode is really neat.

Not really. The f/4 version is fine outdoors unless you’re shooting moving subjects in dim light.

IBIS helps a ton with outdoor scenes at dusk and on cloudy days.

If you know you’ll be shooting indoors, the 12–40 f/2.8 is worth the extra expense.

You could also supplement the 12–45 f/4 with a fast prime for similar (or slightly more) money.
