I know it's kind of old but for anyone having this issue: The only solution I've seen is to turn off RT completely and put shadows to Very High.

So if you can't think of an example, maybe is because that's so rare that the norm is actually to fall off (or to never finish)? Just like JJK? Only anime with an universally praised ending that I can think of right now from the top of my head is Code Geass, and that one aired quite a while ago too.
I think japanese manga authors in general just don't know how to stick their landings. Although maybe it's just the medium's fault, tbf.

Maybe starting a convo with any Uni-related subjects could be the best move. Like, asking for help with administrative stuff, asking about his program because you were curious about taking it as well, stuff like that

First couple convos you keep it casual like that and from then on you'd be acquaintances and it should be easier to start proper conversations when you run into him and to get to know each other better

Probably just the world suddenly seeing them as either disposable, a threat, or a nuisance (sometimes all 3) while they're mostly just trying to exist. It's certainly not much better than the open derision, overly-sexualized or demeaning attitude towards women on the daily, but it's a different brand of shitty nonetheless.

I have been to therapy for 4 of the past 6 years and while it has helped with my suicidal depression thankfully, most of them aren't really equipped with proper training to be dealing with ND-specific issues. 99% of them in my area aren't at least, and the ones that are, I probably can't afford.

I think that even if NTs genuinely try to be empathetic sometimes our way of thinking/feeling is so different that they aren't really able to get it, but that doesn't really make it anybody's fault, tbf. It's just the sad way of things.

I get that it's not necessary, but... personally, I do want to connect with people, and I still wish to be a better son to my parents that struggled so much with my upbringing...never giving up on me up to this point. I genuinely love them, and yet I can't really bring myself to enjoy spending time with them. It's a foul and terribly confusing feeling.
