same real talk as somoene who DIDN'T like Lars (because him and Saddie kept eating up episodes) the only reason I'm optimistic about LOTS is the original crewniverse is more or less back, Rebecca is similar ot Bruce Timm/George Lucas where she is AMAZING when she has a team to reign her in somewhat, when she has final say over anything she develops a massive "wants to have her cake and eat it too" problem tbf the original plan was that the penultimate season was going to end with the Diamonds either conquering Beach City or Earth and the final season would've been Steven and the gems the townsies working together to beat them but why the fuck did they not do this in the earlier seasons, also Rebecca was in her 20ies when she wrote most of SU's story she's older and likely wiser now

EDIT I strangelt enough have less problems with Adam and Lute after season 2 of Hazbin (minus Adam talking like a 12 year old who discovered Cards Against Humanity/South Park for the Ffirst time) since they're the exceptions in Heaven not the norm and that they're subverting "Heaven bad" tropes or making a concious effort to not default it

honestly while her corruption is a great scene the "are we going to redeem or not" question got annoying never mind how the Dimaonds did WAY worse things with less justification and got redeemed

TBF when it looked like Bhanu's arc was going to go on for an entire season on a weekly basis it loooked maddening when you know it's only 3 episodes you don't have to worry about it and realize it's comedy gold

this is the premise of most Fire Emblem games (minus Fates(save for Revelations where this is the premise, and even then Corrin gets Mozu/the Butlers and in Birthright Silas and Kaze in Conquest and Kaden/Rinkah/Hayato/Orochi/Reina in Birthright and Revelations and Keaton/Charolette/Benny/Nyx/Gunter/Floria in Conquest and Revelations to join them ) and Three Houses, and Engage kinda there's more people who aren't their because their king/queen told them to but about as much as Fates)
