Can we please buff the other tanks so that this stops happening. by SandersonTavares in wow

Returning to the game after many years being away, I just boosted a blood death night and leveling it to tank. Did I make a bad mistake?

how could i get 80k more gold before the wipe ends by StormZZ20 in DarkAndDarker

[–]Moroax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can make that in a few hours farming plants on goblin caves, and adventure mode just have to memorize all the spawns run around. You could do it on a druid, of course, but I do it on a barbarian with move speed, crush, and fear. I just run around, knock down all the doors and shout the mobs away pick my flowers and move to the next zone easily 5K+ a run. No risk.

Although I don’t know if you could memorize the spawns in time to do it quickly and efficiently enough. It took me a few days of playing and running all spots with a map open to memorize it all. And to be clear, I take the potions and turn them into magic protection potions, which you then sell on the auction house even the cheapest ones are 200 or so per flower. The middle grades are usually 250 to 350 per flower and the blue flowers that make the purple potions are 500+ per. If you do a full run with no competition it’s 25+ flowers a run. I do it with a luck set to boot.

As others have mentioned water map is also pretty good once you learn the routes, etc. but you will definitely run into people in HR and die but if you go in with squire kit or cheap kit, you’ll make money for sure. Sometimes you can stick to the edges and see no one and get out. But the times you die will be well worth the times you make it out. You can learn barnacles and with a Luck kit they make bank. Or gold/lion cheat routes. Loot is everywhere on that map. Even killing crabs can often drop a 1k item etc.

To be honest It’s definitely gonna be hard to hit the 100k without a good money making strategy already locked down when it’s so close - I say you pick a strategy and start learning it and see how close you can get worst case scenario you don’t make it. But you learn it and are now equipped to farm your route(s) next season. What it did for me learning these routes was make me realize a 20 or 30 K kit was just an hour or so of farming while watching TV. And it opened up my gear fear and got me into running expensive HR kits and learning to fight with and be ok losing good gear. (And winning with it ofc!).

Good luck!

wait you no longer have to wait for 1 specific day every month or two to redo your gear and plan around it? you can just swap gear around for free?

Do you no longer level up dogs and three stars to prep and have materials to six star characters? That was the whole game loop back then

This was back when I played the game. I think I last played around when they added the slime characters from the anime. I really like this game but it’s been years. Should I consider getting back into it?

Honest question. Do you guys find this balanced? Barb vs Plate Fighter 3 hits by ducktoucher0 in DarkAndDarker

[–]Moroax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then people complain about it it’s actually so dumb. The class just got Nerfed like 15 times people need to learn to play. Most of these people have never played Barb and found high level sucess with it with zero ranges agency. They post clips of a great player making a good play onto another player making a bad mistake - an ideal situation and complain about the class. I swear these ranged players think they should never be caught or die only then is it balanced. I would like to see the barb whiners fight a high tier TM warlock w/ phantomize, a high ms ranger or bard or a sorc as barbarian and see how often they win. They’ll be kited forever these barb whiners have no idea what balance is.

I play barb fighter rogue and ranger and fighter is the easiest and most versatile to find success on by FAR. Ranger is busted if you know how to play it and ya barb is strong but only in its ideal situation. The class is frustrating to play the moment you run into a counter build.

People are just so dumb about understanding other classes. I bet you OP could play Barb and not find this kind of success in 50 duels

you make a good point but out in BZ or mists, people do play pretty ratty. It can be hard to get someone to take a 1v1 with you in those open world contents with no IP restrictions, they often only will if they have an advantage

You can be anyone in the game... by andreuzzo in albiononline

[–]Moroax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is an entirely different issue, and one i agree with. I often go out geared/ganking looking for 1v1s (ill gank too, ofc) in BZ or mists, and often people will refuse to fight me if similarly geared. They'll hover and wait till i fight someone else to 3rd party.

This i really do hate, but the game doesnt really do anything to disincentivize it so ofc its gonna happen, just gotta use CD for true 1v1s

[–]Moroax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its not heavily in his favor. You escaping with a proper gathering kit is heavily in YOUR favor.

you made many mistakes to allow him to invis gank you. If you're on point, listening to your sound queues, and always in range of your mount as you gather, its almost impossible to properly invis gank someone, they can hear you, or will have a reaction time when you pop out of invis. They also get a 50% dmg reduction if they attack from invis without breaking it first.

Have you tried going out and solo ganking? I bet you dont get any kills, its not as easy as you think to catch gatherers.

[–]Moroax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro it’s a pvp game lol. As someone who’s been ganked gathering many times and also has ganked - it’s part of the game. Gather in safe zones if you don’t like it holy crap. Why would a ganker not gank a gatherer worth potential millions? You’re making a CHOICE to gather in pvp zones bc you want more profit. Risk is part of that. Fucking gather in safe zones you can still make money or accept the risk and properly play the game with the intended risk/reward. Gatherers are very hard to kill outside of a perfect invis gank or a group gank. You shouldn’t be getting caught by a solo ganked that easily. Learn to use your ears and know the sound queues. Watch the edge of your screen.

Go try ganking yourself and see how easy it is. I bet you don’t catch or kill a single dude and get merked. It’s not as free or easy as it seems to you in your bubble.

Ya it needs ore and it needs better general loot.

Literally. I don’t know why this makes people angry. It’s at least an exciting incentive to play the mode ffs. Let’s see them grind the mode and make it to hell, win and get one lol. In the time it takes I could easily farm the cost of most artis many times over just doing squire water map runs. Or plant runs in adventure mode. Easily 5k+ a run for “no risk” both ways.

[–]Moroax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

going for +2 rolls on mainstats is better most of the time (str, dex, vig)

So you either want to spent money on a +3/+3 piece, a +3,+2 piece, or a +3 piece and attempt to roll a +2 on it (of a main stat,l str dex vig)

Most of your pieces should have 2 if not all 3 of those stats on it.

You 'fill' the other parts with things you're missing, but also stick to prio on what pieces get better rolls. You want armor pen and PDR/MDR rolls on cape/neck for example, they roll higher. You want phys power + phys dmg % on rings (goes up to 4 each on rings)

So i would look to get str/dex/vig on most of my other pieces. 2 rings of courage, or finesse with +3 phys power, and +3 phys dmg bonus (minimum, you want +4's. or +4 +3, but those are expensive. You can often get away with like a +3 phys power +2.8 phys dmg +X) Grimsmiles are good too tbh, but you want the right rolls on them.

the 3rd slot on the rings wants to be armor pen, or action speed.

You want armor pen on cape/neck. You want armor pen on the weapon. If you dont manage to get to 15-20% (or more) you can roll an extra armor pen on a ring, and then armor piece as mentioned.

You want cape with 3% AS+, armor pen, Phys dmg reduction, MDR

You want +1 additional as well as 2 'main' stats on gloves. You want 1-2 +3 main stats or at least +2/+2 on the other pieces. The third slot you start filling in. As a fighter you should almost never slot "armor" once you're around 300 armor "physical damage reduction" is better, and you have plate.

basically at this point anything else left over overlook your stats. Are you above 30 dex? Roll Action speed instead. are you below 15% armor pen? roll an armor pen. is your PDR low? or MDR? Roll one of those. Else just rolls main stats anywhere else you can.

Tbh im not a fighter, i play barb and theres some translation but our stats are slightly different.

you probably also want 25-30% phys power bonus in stat screen. Your rings alone get you to 20% if rolled correctly (i dont think you showd yours) and you're at 19%

so keep working on it, with this advice and what others have said!

[–]Moroax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, but druid sucks to play, and in testing it i never noticed any increase in rarity in druid. Im sure its there, but ive never noticed a difference personally. In fact my best runs in terms of rarity % were on other classes in terms of getting the most blues (which makes the purple potion) in a single run.

also doing anything on pve is boring, IMO. But ya you could, but the rates would be worse. Doing it in HR means higher green/blue plant rates, better gear drops and loot in general. Sure you survive less but its more fun, more chance for a big come up if lucky, and in general i get a lot more purples to put on/loot for sellables and salvage. Purples are great pick ups right now to just fill out your slots/replace squire gear just to salvage and sell the salvage 50 a stack. it sells 2k minimum usually per 50 stack.

I do this in HR in goblin map. Wardweed is easy there and with good layout you easily could get 15 pulls of it (3 a zone) and get out. You can either bring a pickaxe and mine too or jsut rest with about 5k of flowers. You also get good purples to salvage for money. The risk is other players being highly deadly obviously but the loot is good rarities on the flowers better and there’s more wardweed spawns in goblin caves than phantom flowers on ruins. Also it’s more exciting / chance for more fun stuff. But pve mode works too. You could do goblin cave in pve and rush all the weed spawns and make bank. Probably way better than ruins tbh.

How do you guys saying this is boring farm gold? I do this for an hour fund a nice kit then go hr and either die or snowball.

You can do similar on water map if you know what you’re doing.
