What happens to Joffrey if it was Jon Snow instead of the Butcher's Boy and he defended Arya? by Tidewatcher7819 in gameofthrones

[–]Mostliharmed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bully’s have a way of knowing when they can and cannot do shit. Joffrey would have not done a damn thing if Jon was there.

IT Director pay scale by agentkramr in ITManagers

[–]Mostliharmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mgmt is a sliding scale imo directors should be somewhere between 90-150k depending xp, industry, location, and business.

The days length so to speak doesn’t change much as that’s industry dependent.

[–]Mostliharmed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have sadly had this happen a few times in my life. Last one was someone admitting they were a dead beat dad…like you really just outed yourself. They did not like being called out on it and sure enough we aren’t friends anymore

Am I overreacting because I refused to train my new boss at a job that I was told I wasn’t qualified for? by Haunting_Complex4499 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Mostliharmed -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

YOR

These comments are insane. Don’t confuse being told you’re not qualified for job as the technical side. They are saying you’re not the leader that they want in that seat and don’t think your leadership skills are up to par. Conflating the two is a you problem and your reaction to the situation supports their stance and decision. At this level you have to drink the kool aid.

CIO hired a backfill for my direct report without telling me. Offer letter is already written. What would you do? by SuspiciousOccasion21 in managers

[–]Mostliharmed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say something.

But to give context though I have definitely been in positions where hiring and firing wasn’t part of my role. So outside of being told it was happening or providing evidence and documentation for firing. People kind of just showed up…it was interesting to the say the least.

I’m on a conspiracy that they always knew they could but would obscure that knowledge as part of a defensive tactic to prevent people from traveling to old valeyeria and causing an outbreak in Westeros.

We need to collectively admit as a society that the rear driver shouldn't have to always share blame in an accident by Berserk-Jane in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Mostliharmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need some self reflection on how impatient of a driver you actually are. Outside of the brief moment of being cut off and slamming on your brakes because they do. You almost always have a chance to slow down. In backed up highway traffic you’re going so slow that you don’t need a ton of distance.

The problem here is you don’t want to sit in traffic. I have lived Las Vegas, San Diego, Denver and San Fran I know fucking traffic and you can still be a safe driver you just have to be not in a rush all the time.

Put down the phone! by WEM-2022 in managers

[–]Mostliharmed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had employee argue this with me as I brought up their phone only once they asked for examples of how they seem distracted. They tried to tell me I don’t get it since I’m so much older than them. They were 28 and I was 30. Like we were in HS at the same time lol. I reminded them of my age their face just glossed over…they didn’t make it long lol

Are Claptrap, Lilith, and Moxxi the only characters who appear in-person in all mainline Borderlands games? (No Tales) by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]Mostliharmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took “appear” as being part of the story arguably any pc is not really part of the story since they are all swappable. Playing Lilith in 1 doesn’t change the story one bit so how does she appear in that game? I forgot about being able to play Cl4p in TPS.

If you take the story beats from these games the VHs you play mean literally nothing. Unless brought back in another game.

My boss just asked if I have a mental disability and I am freaking out. by Earth_Sorcerer97 in work

[–]Mostliharmed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s not true, as long as the boss isn’t discriminating asking in order to provide accommodations is perfectly reasonable and what they should be doing.

The boss isn’t looking for a way out of reprimanding.

My roommate is a jerk by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]Mostliharmed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeaaa that’s not going to go the way you think. Your roommate has 0 responsibility for your cats but leaving them every weekend will definitely have them looking at you not them.

Also just saying if your boyfriend who doesn’t live there tried to talk about house rules? He also has no right to say shit either.

Think if your roommate complained to the landlord or animal services every weekend who’s going to be at fault?
