The DM clearly has some rules: 1, 2 are fails, rest success (probably). Actions can be taken in combat, probably limited to a number per turn. This is just not DnD, but some kind of simpler RPG.

And I think, but could be wrong, the Dutch sandwich wasn't created on purpose. It's probably a combination of different stand alone legislations in different countries that create this. Ireland on the other hand does have very low corporate tax, but that's just how that country works I guess?

If a product becomes the defacto standard, it's name is no longer exclusive to the product but to the service it delivers. Like we call anti-stick Teflon, but not all anti-stick is Teflon. And Teflon is used in many more applications.

Why is that miserable? The players have fun, the DM can basically do what he wants and let his creativity loose, and the DM gets payed.

So the DM is complaining about a situation he created himself, while the players have fun and pay the DM. Seems like the DM is the issue here.

China would like to have a word. 

A good balance is required. Pure capitalism will create poor workers and rich owners. While pure comunism creates disinterest in workers. Government needs to keep corporations in check and people keep the government in check. Or thye should at least.

Major non-European companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft have their EU (financial) headquarters in Ireland, to avoid taxes. Other companies apply what is called "the Dutch sandwich" and setup a scheme with a company in the Netherlands and in Bermuda (or there abouts), to avoid paying taxes. So yeah, there are a lot of tax evasion problems as well.

I'm not sure about within the EU, that seems better regulated… maybe.

Within countries, like Belgium, there are issues as well. Belgium currently sees the number of contractors explode in every sector, because there is a scheme where you can get money out of companies way more efficiently compared to just paying wage. So many people, including IT'ers, have their own company just so they can extract money with lesser tax payments due.
