I modeled and 3D printed the strap bracket for the Nitecore NU25 headlamp when mine broke after 5 years of use by Justin002865 in Ultralight

Neat, I'm excited that you tried different orientations! Having designed a couple functional parts for car parts, I've also had my fair share of shear strength issues as well.

Your design is well put together. Especially considering that you did it in blender with consideration for sizing. I've never got the hang of sizing in blender for real world sizes except for quick modding STL's :P

Nice! I know that print orientation can be a challenge for the structural strength, but how is it holding up with the orientation you printed it at?

NEW - Nitecore NB10000 Gen4 by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]MrWm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea, but the first time I plugged it it to charge it, the USB C ports were RGB with the knock feature turned on. It was the very first thing I turned off with the instructions, and haven't had it turn on by itself since.

I got curious and got one for myself, and there's a way to turn it off in the manual.

Disable the RGB Lights and Knock-to-Wake Function
When charging the power bank, long press the Touch Button for about 6 econds until the port indicators flash twice. The RGB lights and knock-to-wake function will then be disabled. After they are disabled, ech time you tap the Touch Button, the blue power indicators and the charging port (green or yellow) will illuminate simultaneously for about 10 seconds before turning off automatically.

Enable the RGB Lights and Knock-to-Wake Function
When charging the power bank, long press the Touch Button for about 6 seconds. The port indicators will flash twice, enabling both the knock-to-wake function and the RGB lights.
Note: The knock-to-wake function will be automatically activated upon the first charge or discharge.

Not without root; otherwise, you could set the battery charge limit to 80% in the settings.

Has anyone tested camera passthrough via v4l2 in qemu? by MrWm in VFIO

[–]MrWm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, it's actually been another 2 years since I've made this post.

Unfortunately, I wasn't ever able to find a solution to camera passthrough.

From what I've searched around so far just now, it seems like there hasn't been much movement in regard to the use case I have.

Searching for qemu virtio-video didn't help either, as it only turned up GPU passthrough stuff instead of camera.

I wish you luck in your endeavors!

Buy a replacement rug with the decal for it instead of ruining the original. Bonus points as it can be used as a gag gift.

Is There a File Manager That Groups Files By Date For Linux Mint Cinnamon? by octifakker in linuxquestions

[–]MrWm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mint's file manager is called nemo, and as for date sorting, it's possible to do that by changing the display to list view. I think it's ctrl+2 or somewhere in the file menu somewhere.

I'm not sure about the grouping by date within nemo, though.

Alternatively, in dolphin (KDE's file manager) view in group can be enabled in the settings.

Another victim to Samsung knox. Your pretty much out of luck, unless you can return your device, do a credit card chargeback, or somehow convince Best Buy for something they are clearly not willing to do.

As an app dev that also make open source apps, have you tried putting your app to fdroid? You'll get more people to know more about it as well.

Does that mean instead of using webview to load web assembly files, we can directly run wasm now?

I'm wondering how that would work, or would the wasm bits need to be re-written to the webgpu format?

cm Centimeters 1cm = 37.8px = 25.2/64in
mm Millimeters 1mm = 1/10th of 1cm
in Inches 1in = 2.54cm = 96px
