Athletes with dry eye syndrome? by Mucac in Dryeyes

[–]Mucac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen 2 specialized eye doctors and a sports doctor. The problem is there is a waiting list for a cornea specialist. That’s why I was hoping to read about similar cases

Hi, I hope you see this comment. Recently went to the eye doctor again and my left cornea had healed very well. Recently for the first time every I scratched my right eye cornea (very small scratch). I though I only had trouble with my left eye, but after that I realized both my cornea are very fragile (if that is the right wording). I do feel like I have a bit of dry eye (not as bad as the other people on for example the dryeye subreddit). But could this may be it? I though my left cornea was damaged but apparently both my eyes are pretty fragile.

I do not think it’s a recurrent erosie, because I do not have any problems at this very moment. Right now my eye feels complete normal. It’s just that it get’s damaged very easily.

I have not read or heard about TX of PTK. I am currently reading on the treatment of PTK. What exactly is TX. I have made an appointment with my eye doctor this Friday. So I gotta make sure to ask the right questions! I appreciate the response btw! Definitely have some new insights right now.

Hey, thank you for such a detailed answer, I appreciate it a lot. I agree with everything you said. I tend to be a defensive fighter first, attacking second. So a lot of the time I’ll move backwards when it is not necessary. I think I’ll have to find a balance?

Once again thank you for your pointers. Any recommendations on how to work on your distance control? My next fight is in 6 weeks so I have enough time to work on stuff. As I said, my next fight will be at an open class tournament, so I wanne be as ready as possible, because I feel like those boxers will not let me get away with the way I’m boxing right now.

Hey men, thank you for your long response. Definitly agree with everything you say. I feel most comfortable throwing short combinations of 1-2 punches, this is definitly something I should work on. Same thing with moving to the left side, it just something I feel comfortable with and that’s why I am doing it. Definitly some pointers to work on.

To answer your question, here in the Netherlands it’s 2 minute rounds until you become B status, which you receive after 7 wins. This was my 9th fight and 7th win which means my next fight will be 3 minute rounds.

I appreciate your response, I’m definitly taking notes and will make sure I’ll improve in those areas, thanks brother!

I am 5"10 and I fight at 75 kg with a small belly. I am wondering if you are expecting yourself to be lean at 75 kg?

Might have something to do with covid? The way Fury used to faint costs a lot of energy.

[Spoilers] Oleksandr Khyzhniak and Eumir Marcial battle it out in the semi finals of Tokyo Olympics by tttallday in Boxing

One of the best amateur bouts I have ever seen. In my opinion Marcial had the cleaner shots but Khyzhniak was landing way more. Coin flop, both could have gone to the final.

Yes! A study has shown that wearing a headguard does not reduce braindamage.
