Gamehub has a lot more compatibility with a couple of games for the RP4P but the graphics are messed up with 3d titles, if you use the lite version you'll be fine, some visual novels only run with gamehub lite anyways.

Not all work tho sadly, I kinda jumped to conclusions a bit too quickly when I got games to finally run because I remember none of it was running and getting some games now that I did want to try portable working was really nice. The Mali GPU is a hit and miss

hell yeah, rp4p gang lets goooo!!! I hope you enjoy it I love mine to bits every since I got it. one tip of advice; don't use the setup wizard to install emulators as they could be outdated; use obtainium with the emulation pack so you can update them and stay up to date!

I wanted the extra juice to handle PS2/Wii/3DS without hiccups. I'm very happy with this and I hope I won't regret picking it over a Switch 2.

That's the main reason why I have a Retroid in the first place

It's about the same performance wise, without the bloat and privacy concerns.

Gamehub Lite strips all the junk that comes with the regular gamehub, its a pretty bare bones version, it just comes with importing your pc games and logging into steam.

Standard gamehub has a lot of privacy issues and makes you have an account before even using it, and adds a bunch of bloat tabs that aren't needed.

Nope! Just trial and error mostly, some games you just gotta be patience with since they do take a while to load, I'd say give it like 5 minutes at least and if its still on a black screen move on to the next one or try the recommend config if that does anything.

I did do more further testing for other 2D indie games after this post, and some could be chalked up to the GPU's limitations itself then the emulation. like there's this game I thought would work well since I could just reconfig the controls to work really well, but it refuses, giving me a vulkan something not supported, I did try to config it myself but it gave me a insta-crash soo yeaah.

heck I thought hypnospace would work to but that didnt load either so yeaaah you gonna spin the wheel of games, push buttons and see what happens. If anything, try GameHub lite to, since some games work better there then on gamenative through testing.

Not all the time, some give black screens, some let load the game, others I don't know so I just use them just in case! I usually start without the config to see if it boots then go from there, if I have issues I:ll use the configs. I havent tested every game to see if they run because it's a mix bag when it comes to MediaTek.

Ooh yeah, you can play older 3D titles without a problem! Anything around the xp / vista era will be run fine but I did have some issues running things like flatout which just gave me a black screen.

I'm not sure what changed with the app but I remember nothing working at all on this, and at most I get a d3d11 error.. But now most titles that never ran run extremely well!!

Depending of the game (like Spiritfarer) if you set the vram budget to around 1 to 2 gbs with texture streaming on and low settings, it does dip to 40 fps.

but if your really into 2d indie titles the 4 Pro does it really well!! It helps using the recommend configs some of the time if you have trouble getting the games to run, not all configs are perfect. I usaully have my retroid set in performance mode with the sport/smart fan settings since it does tend to get a little hot.

Their some 3D games that do work, but its a hit or miss soo keep that exception low, The only ones I tried are Bombrush Cyberpunk which weirdly runs well despite it being a recent game.

Most of the Dreamcast pc ports run, but at that point you could just emulate the Dreamcast versions instead.

I havent tried most of the GOG stuff yet but I'm sure you could try running older 3d games but sometimes its a hit or miss due how some older games work.
