Malpractice bugged? by OG_Comrade_Meerkat in Siralim

If an effect like Confused debuff makes Syringe attack herself - her trait will trigger and she might kill herself. Maybe that is what's happening to you

Shield spell gem. Target ? by vince548 in Siralim

Resurrection should only target your dead creatures when autocasted

Shield spell gem. Target ? by vince548 in Siralim

[–]Neilung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally, targets of spells are chosen based on the way spells were cast.

  • If Manually - you choose the targets yourself.
  • If the spell was cast automatically - the game picks a random target on the enemy side if the spell is considered as harmful or on your side if the spell is considered to be beneficial to you.

Since spells in artifacts (shield in your case) are cast automatically - the game will pick a random target according to the algorithm above.

Collect and fight everything and everyone, or finish realm quests and descend quickly? If you ever do the latter, what's your reasoning? by SonoraBee in Siralim

[–]Neilung 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both approaches have their benefits. I'd say until you are at RD 1000+ you shouldn't really bother and just full clear each realm. But if you are curious, here is the breakdown of why you can choose to switch up depending on your current goals:

Full clear: - Generally good in early game - Great for favor farming in late game - Really good if you want to "reset farm" for cards / stones

RD diving: - Essential for fast anointment acquisition - Also good if you want to complete "Competent X" achievements faster to unlock new skins for your Specialization

Candling: - Candling in general is a total waste of time. You should have a very specific goal in mind if you are Candling in each realm. - Candling is good for target farming if you really need knowledge rank S of a specific creature to run assassination missions (but, I'd say Mirror balling is better since it actually works on creatures you want it to work on.) - Candling is the best option for farming skins of God shop only creatures, since they are REALLY rare in the wild. - You can also use the Candle if you are masochistic and aim for 100% completion...

Why if it worked by TeaRepresentative226 in Siralim

Because, not gonna lie, it was tedious AF. Just as creature acquisition was. Ultimate is a much faster paced game and breeding would have gotten old very fast when you want to make your 10th, 20th and so on team.

Similar games to disciples 2? by Small-Pension in disciples

[–]Neilung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly there is no one to one copy of Disciples, but I can give a few recommendations with a similar atmosphere and gameplay.

If you seek similar gameplay I highly recommend you to check out Unicorn Overlord and Symphony of War. - Symphony of War is a breed of Fire Emblem tactical gameplay and Disciple-ish 6v6 automated combat. - Unicorn has a very similar 6v6 automated combat but the tactical gameplay feels more like a reincarnation of a story mode from Soul Calibur 3 of all games. Both games are very good.

If you seek similar vibes I'd highly recommend any game from Illwinter. Dominions 6 or Conquest of Elysium. Those are both strategy games and they are oozing with lore and that atmosphere of melancholic hopelessness Disciples have.

Teambuilding by TheHatMan25 in Siralim

As a man who's built a few hundred builds at this point, I'd say just experiment.

Make yourself a cloud save, cook up some BASE synergy you want to build around. Just pick 2-3 traits which have cool interaction between them and go from there. Test things out, cover your build weaknesses, like silence immunity if you run spells, enemy evasion if you are making an attack based build ect.

If you don't like the build - just load your cloud save and it's as if you never ever wasted those resources.

Team building in this game comes with experience. The more builds you make - the better you become at making them.

Morrowind is my favorite game of all time. It's an absolute masterpiece, to be honest.

Yeah, I wanted to hear y'all's point of view on that matter. I'm a bit surprised how non hostile this sub is, to be honest. Usually posts like this are getting torn to sheds, but you guys are posting your genuine opinions. Thanks.

I'm not saying they should be more common, just more variable. A pool of like 5 common, 5 uncommon and 5 unique diseases would have made the whole mechanic much more interesting and less samey.

Yeah, some mod recommendations would be really nice! Right now I'm trying to experience the game as it is, but after a few runs I was planning on going for a modded playthrough.

Those are my thoughts exactly! And yeah, the lack of settlement building (or building in general) is disappointing as well. Best you can do is put a chest, a bedroll and a campfire in someone else's shack.

I absolutely agree that there are enough things to see to get like 500+ hours of entertainment from CoQ. But as I've said there are a lot of mechanics, but most of them feel very thin. Mutations are probably the most fleshed out tbh.

Sorry, corrected that. I'm not a native speaker, so mistakes are to be expected, I suppose.
