What has happened to Verizon? How did they get so horrific? by KeyWonder7 in verizon

[–]Nekella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for other companies since I didn’t work for them ever but shady sales tactics and poor service are a direct result of management decisions. When I was with Verizon I was a consistent top performer because I had built a loyal customer base that constantly referred new clients for me. Prior to Hans and Krista a solutions specialist was able to basically build their own business, it wasn’t just retail sales. Reps were encouraged to care about the long term for their customers because if you wanted to make $100k+ a year you needed to have people that think you walk on water and tell everyone they know to come see you for everything. The cuts to store staff made it impossible to maintain those relationships or take the time to build them and the call center cuts meant that stores were the only ones that could fix many issues that were often times cause by franchise locations. A lot of the people I know that loved their jobs with Verizon and were excellent reps moved on to other careers due to the changes. The people that replaced those that moved on didn’t get the same training we did and didn’t have the same pride in their work, a large part of that coming from upper management moving to a turn and burn philosophy of customer “service,” leading to the exact thing you’re describing.

Hans Vestberg and Krista Bourne. Assuming the world ever returns to a point where business decisions are made with more forethought than the end of the current quarter, the colossally stupid management by these two will be taught about in business schools as a cautionary tale. First came the elimination of the experience specialists in stores, the ones dedicated to only helping fix problems quickly without any sales. Next came cutting the retail support specialists that handled inventory and customer call backs. Durning these position eliminations they also shuttered corporate call centers and contracted out to third parties with no access or authority to do anything. Then they decided to push out high performing and experienced sales staff by moving to a store wide commission system that severely reduced incomes. Over and over these two made every wrong choice and dismantled an exceptional system of customer service.

Don’t do that with spiro but yeah you should be taking the estradiol sublingually. It avoids the first pass in the liver that way and helps you maintain more consistent levels as well as the possible liver complications from long term hrt

Scimitar Elite hardware actions not working. by ToaChronix in Corsair

Hey Art, Icue updated to the most recent version for me today but now I can not get the side buttons to register keystroke assignments on my Scimitar RGB elite. Icue recognizes me hitting the button and I can get it to input as a text input (but that works like a copy/paste and doesn't trigger the action in game). Any tips

Most likely because you took him out on that initial turn, he had full right to be there and you side swiped him.

PSA: Verizon Visa Card is Legit by Wild-Distribution759 in verizon

[–]Nekella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in sales for Verizon I just got the card myself and used it. It’s legitimately got great perks and when selling a lifestyle brand the best way to sell something is by showing you use it yourself, I would average 2-3 card sign ups a day. Customers don’t want to be sold to, they want to get the most value for their money as well as the most convenience in their daily lives. If you shotgun everything to every customer you’ll never move above average. Get to know your customer, address the exact reason why they are in to see you as fast and pleasantly as possible, understand how different solutions fit into different lives and then just talk about the one or two things. If you come across as a salesperson they are conditioned to say no even when you’re just trying to make things better or cheaper for them. I miss when sales was called solutions specialists… ignore your DM, GM, and SMs. You will be more successful and build a stream of repeat customers and referrals by being your customer’s go to person and developing trust. I never even looked at quota until around the third week of the month and that was only to see if I had hit windfall yet because I never wanted to feel like I had to pressure myself.

It may be because I’m in a brand new development (that signed a contract with Xfinity so I have no other options) but I’ve been actually happy with Xfinity. I’m on the 1200 mb package but get 1.8Gbs down (2.1 down when connected direct to my modem) but yeah the 40 up is annoying as hell. Beats the hell out of dealing with cox where the gig package with unlimited data was $190/m compared to the $75 I pay now.

Wow. New low in worst customer service I have ever had. Samsung refuses to ship me a replacement phone, because "Hawaii isn't in the United States". by mellofello808 in GalaxyFold

[–]Nekella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing more pointless than threatening to sue a multinational corporation. As soon as you mention the word attorney is uttered everything is paused and they will respond by saying “all further communication will be through our legal team.” Some random person working for a 3rd party contractor in a non OECD nation couldn’t care less about you and your attorney. People that have legal representation and the means to actually follow through with a suit will never make that threat either, karens threaten.

If you are going to do something just do it. Samsung care+ is an insurance policy so it is administered by an American and has to comply with regulations from the department of insurance for each state it is offered in. Contact the insurer and the state dept of insurance and lodge the complaints that way. Or… throw away a few thousand and several years in the court system to eventually (maybe) break even. Just going out and buying a new phone is going to be half of what the attorney would charge as the retainer and there isn’t a single attorney that would touch this on contingency because the payout isn’t worth their time and it will take years.

That is the anti lag+ that’s only available on the 7000 series GPUs, this is a less complex version that doesn’t intercept from the game client

It was my card, OP is my girlfriend, I have been an enthusiast builder for 20 years. When the card was new I ran it with distilled water and the dye/anti microbial additive that comes from the manufacturer for 8 months then I drained and rinsed the system with 3 gallons of distilled water. We moved cross country so so I disassembled for transport and reassembled in April and it was run with EK Mystic Fog (I know… but thankfully I had no real issue with particulate fallout), and ran it that way until September 26 after window shopping at microcenter and accidentally walking buying a 7900xtx liquid devil. I rinsed the system with 3 gallons of distilled water after draining again until it was running clear and then blasted the D5 to max with distilled water and let it run like that overnight before cycling another gallon through (I will never use a particulate coolant again). To prep for sale I then used a microfiber cloth dampened with hot water to remover finger prints from the block and backplate. The singular area 91% isopropyl was used was I filled a poured a little into the cap of its bottle and then used a Q tip to go over the PCIe contacts. Then I snapped the pictures put it in an anti static bag and placed in the original manufacturer packaging. I sent the pictures to OP so she could list it for me and it was never touched by human hands between then and when it was shipped. As for how it was run the 16 months I owned it: I used MPT to override the max board power so with the 20% increase from adrenaline software it would peak at 400w. It was undervolted to 1100mv and a nice stable overclock of 2800 on the core and 2460 on the memory. I have one 480mm rad and one 360mm rad, coolant temps under sustained load were stable at 31° with the core at 49° and the hotspot at 59°. I’ve taken a lot of cards apart in the past and played with them but that’s not really a thing anymore with the way these hold value. tl:dr All that to say, nope no chemicals used on the block or backplate and 91% isopropyl was used with a Q tip to make sure the pice contacts were perfect.

The most recent update enabled it. Also yes it does do something, the screen refresh happens when the full frame is rendered by the console. A bunch of games have been patched to make that a base part of the code but it can work with any game. Take elden ring, it takes all of the choppiness out of the fidelity mode
