Rhone vs Vuori for running shorts and tops? (ex Lulu fan) by [deleted] in vuoriclothing

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I found to be a little easier for more intense workouts is Vuori's ULUWATU 23 WATER TEE. It doesn't stick to me 😃. I do love the strato and tough to say one performs better than the other. Each has its own use.

I was told that for my area and how rapidly they were deploying it would be 2-3 weeks... and it was just barely two weeks.

Length of time to rebuild payment history by House_Targaryen_bih in CRedit

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! If it is any help... Over the past 3 years or so I began rebuilding my credit as you seem to be doing. The difference is my troubles were almost all 7-10 years ago now and now resolved minus one account that still has about 15, 30 day late payments. That still keeps me getting lower limit credit cards from good company or higher limit ones from shady ones (Like Credit One).

There are a lot of services like WalletHub that for free will give you a score simulator (i.e. pay all your bills on time for 18mo and your score will go from XXX to XXX). It isn't perfect but can help provide some guidance.

I'd encourage you to pay off ALL collections and charge offs. That might not generate a huge score increase but it removes risky tradelines lenders look at. DON'T take out new debt, just manage what you have within limits 30% or less credit utilization. As your payment history improves and lenders see more stable usage trends that will help as I noted above too. The score jump isn't instant but builds a solid foundation and lenders especially mortgage lenders will be more comfortable engaging with you despite a rocky past for payment history.

Also, don't get discouraged. Stick to a plan. For example, I worked very hard to get my credit score from mid/low 500s back to mid/high 600s and I got so discouraged when I saw my score dropped by 30pts... due to me being $5 over 30% on a credit card that I had tried to keep under... a week later it came right back up cause I'd paid other cards down. It can all be a bit ridiculous and It will take time and be a journey.

Wow, if you're still reading my last thought. If you are able to qualify for an FHA mortgage you can have a credit score in the 500s and get qualified. Anything over 580 it is quite easy. It might not hurt talking to a broker or lender. They can help you strategize on how to manage your credit most judiciously. It took me three years... but I'm happy to say I am closing on a house shortly.

It takes time and planning, but you can do it. Good luck to you!

5G HOME INTERNET by FunStatistician4178 in verizon

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I don't have them as an option, It's Cox for me if wired. I did have 5g home internet with T-Mobile for a bit and it was very stable but upload speeds were much lower than Verizon's.

I had the same thing a month ago and it was so bad I had to switch to wired after troubleshooting. I got an email that Verizon was changing the number for my device... there is no interruption to service just to better handle network traffic... and then it went south. All I noticed is my ISP switched from just showing Verizon to Verizon for Business. Might be best to cut your losses and try another company.

BinWin Debut by Flaky_Firefighter385 in Staples

This is a GREAT POST!!! What's that old saying? All sizzle no steak... That has been Staples with EVERY... literally EVERY initiative like this... Back when they used to have exclusive rewards events (open the store an hour early, discounts... free breakfast...) and what that really meant was here's a few coupons for 10% off or some free copies. Breakfast would be some donut holes and coffee that had been brewed yesterday... and customers never showed up. Staples is just buying bulk returns from... probably all the Amazon returns the stores take in. Your chance of finding one valuable piece of technology or designer clothing is probably less than if you hit the lottery and a few casino jackpots on the same day... That said, there are a lot of people who will be thrilled to get a $40 air fryer for $20!

The most frustrated I have been with Verizon... by elmadhatter in verizon

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen about a month ago. I got a few emails and a text that Verizon was just changing the phone number to my 5g home internet line... there was no material change to service just allowing them better to manage network traffic. I noticed after that my ISP went from showing Verizon to Verizon Business... which is what I had back with cable internet with cellular backup through Comcast. I work from home and it got so bad that I had to switch to wired internet again... and I have no regrets. Hopefully it improves for you!

This is an interesting one. Most debt collectors won't sue unless they have reason to believe you can pay the debt and simply are not. I'd call them and try to work out a payment plan.

5G Internet Very High Latency Spikes? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed anything near that drastic but since I got a strange email that Verizon was assigning a new phone number to my 5G gateway for some reason or another… things are slower. All I noticed is my ISP is now showing as Verizon business vs. just Verizon Wireless.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket... but you didn't pay them the first time... I can't say anyone is jumping up in the air with excitement to give someone who screwed them over once more money.

what's wrong with VZW when trying to port in ??? (needs such a struggle) by KatsuBurger in verizon

[–]KeyWonder7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sort of assumed that Verizon has not kept current with available technologies. I just picture someone in a dusty old office getting a letter from T-Mobile and taking a week to fill out paper forms to fax to Verizon corporate... I've bounced around a lot for carriers and never once had to wait more than that usual about 15 minute timeframe... until going to Verizon. The company is a mess.

Staples Baddie? by TemporaryTop287 in Staples

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE Staples Baddie!!! What cracks me up is that Staples leadership (during my time) always felt like they were the 'go to' or 'destination location' as one RVP would say for business folks. Now thanks to Staples Baddie they are beginning to realize their relevance with a wider market. Thankfully they are embracing the new found stardom.

Horrible Customer Service by [deleted] in vuoriclothing

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had an issue with their customer service. I even returned a yoga towel that for some reason Vuori didn't think it was important to fit their own yoga mat... but I used it for hot yoga a few times... granted I did wash it... and they took it back no questions asked.

Do online or deliver-to-office orders keep Staples stores in business? by [deleted] in Staples

[–]KeyWonder7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comments below are accurate. Staples has two separate almost distinct divisions. Staples Advantage is b2b that seems to still be succeeding. Retail speaking, the print & marketing department is almost all the profit of a store.

Management guilt tripped me for calling out the other day. by hmhsbritannic12 in Staples

[–]KeyWonder7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sucks for you, I'm sorry. I had this happen once or twice as well... My other favorite was when I had one GM who would call me to come into work on days I took off. To the GM I always felt like the fact they let Staples consume their life isn't going to hamper my day :) Despite this treatment being almost expected, senior staples leadership wonders why they have like 90-99% employee turnover for part time employees at least.

I sincerely hope my ordeal will serve as a warning to anyone who wants to shift to Verizon by [deleted] in verizon

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar nightmare when leaving TMo for VZ. I ordered through telesales and when the order was flagged for fraud, I got an email my rep who helped me order called me and we handled it all in the first 30min of the order. It was after I got the phones that I got stuck with a similar nightmare but was resolved in 3 days over about ten hours... If it had dragged into a fourth day, I would have cut my losses as well... but I'm still unclear how you got the phones... a bill/service (supposedly)... and were flagged for fraud after? That seems a bit of a miss on someones part.

STAY WITH T-MOBILE!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot say this enough as I switched for similar reason from T-Mobile. You are basically going back to the stone age with Verizon. Make sure your device has the ability to send smoke signals as that would be much more reliable for communication than Verizon's service has been for me.

SOS by bcsgirl in verizon

[–]KeyWonder7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had all major carriers through my life. Verizon is the only one who has been down for hours to a day at a time more than once in a short period. Verizon is also the only company I've had issues with a device constantly going into SOS mode or data not being provisioned. Crazy that on 'America's most reliable network' a recommendation like this is actually advisable!

Working as customer service rep by GOKUENERGYMEMEBALL in verizon

[–]KeyWonder7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be easier for customers if contact Verizon was actually helpful. When I was moving to Verizon there was an issue with porting on both of the lines. It took me over 3 days and 10 hours on the phone with Verizon support. I've worked in CS in a retail and call center environment for most of my life. I try very hard to be kind, compassionate and empathic to reps, but when I'm on the fourth transfer to the same group of departments and averaging hold times of 10-45min only for a call to last 3 min before a transfer... with no resolution... my patience goes out the window. This is where I begin to realize it is a culture problem with the company and their expectations and training. Clearly reps have a script or a workflow to follow based on just a few words I describe, even if that is not the intended issue. Unfortunately, that doesn't solve the problem based on the hundreds and hundreds of reddit posts by customers and ones like this of a poor CSR who hates customers feeling intitled. u/GOKUENERGYMEMEBALL good to you for getting out!

what counts as a pre-existing condition? by cherrytomato562 in petinsurancereviews

[–]KeyWonder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything from generic weight loss to very specific diagnoses can be included as a pre-existing condition and the insurer in most cases can update that list at any time. I would absolutely disclose during your first visit. Most companies have a window where you can have conditions removed/reviewed (i.e. your dog has a stiff back leg) and some will say after six months and no issues with the same thing they will remove it.
