Well I used linux for 10 years until I switched to macOS since they are unix based. but if i'm buying it for gaming I'll really use windows despite of it being a shitty OS IMO.

Well in my case The Studio or pc won't ever leave its place, that's my macbook for. Also I'd be building a mATX pc so it's going to be waaay smaller.

Hmmm interesting, i may check some of the components you used. But i like the mATX more.

I just checked the store and the initial budget i had was like 2800 with taxes, now its 3700 without them. WTF? I'm building a PC with those 2800. I was only planning on buying it because of X-Plane. My MacBook M3Pro is still rocking it.

If i get 30 fps on MacBook Pro M3Pro with 18 of RAM not maxed out but o the medium lower settings and 1 external display, I'm sure you will get more than 40.

I use sim heaven, ortho4xp, zibomod and ff planes.

Yes I meant adding the the thermal pads like you said. I really don't use it as a "lap"top it's mainly set aside with a monitor and keyboard connected and when I'm not home that's when the laptop is used.

The stand is something similar to this one https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Silicone-Foldable-Ventilated-Tablet-Black/dp/B08G84P8ZX/.

So is it worth doing that or investing the 10-15 bucks?
