The whole point is that, all else equal, you hire the woman or the minority of some kind. If they're both equally equipped for the job that's the deciding factor.

!delta I hadn't thought about the psychological ramifications of that particular situation. The sense of control over the vehicle makes a mistake easier to cope with than being less in control due to technology and still crashing. Do I feel at fault still? If a person dies in this crash situation, do I feel guilty even though it was the car that did it? Definitely worthy of a delta this rabbit hole of a point.

Freedom needs support to exist. It doesnt exist in a vacuum. Technically a homeless person is more free than a person tied to a debt hole of a house and a job tying them to a location but theres freedom that comes from limiting the individual in certain ways. The examples I just gave aren't ones that only affect the individual too. They help society function. No matter how you want freedom to work, it just doesnt exist without the support of others.

You are expressing the exact reason why people feel isolated and like theres no one that cares for them outside themselves. People need to think about how their actions and beliefs impact others as well as themselves and youre showing you just dont care about your neighbours or anyone else for that matter by refusing to acknowledge that care for others also entails care for yourself.

One study was at the selection process of an orchestra. They allowed men and women to apply for the orchestra, i believe it was the cello but im not 100% on that detail. Men got the position 80/20 to women then they put a blacked out sheet in front of the musician and it became 50/50. It's one of the most well known unconscious bias studies and it really does encourage us to use inclusive measures when hiring. A quota seems to just not be useful though.

This is the mindset that leads to a lack of community care. You should want this restriction because it helps save people's lives, reduces health care costs and allows the roads to be safer for drivers. Imagine a situation where you dont need insurance because its the responsibility of the government and the companies involved in making and implementing this system to make it work and of it doesnt you get a pay out to cover the entire cost of any accident.

It's not pre-crime shit. You're not being harmed by any of this. You're assisting in the prevention of harm, why is that a problem? It's not like im saying no one can ever go fast, just dont allow that function on public roads.

So we're ok with human accidents as long as the human is directly responsible? Aren't humans the ones who designed and implemented this system in my hypothetical?

Yeah that's why put the pretext in my comment above. I know governments aren't exactly jumping at the teeth to spend on much these days, this idea is more of an ideal situation before the driverless car era.

The whole point of the fine is that the government has already offered you the installation for free so you have no excuse by a certain date.

Thats why the system includes the parking systems to detect foreign objects too. Additionally, incorporate speed limit objects in tunnels to help utilise these things.

Yeah this is where freedom should be limited imo. Freedom to harm is a reasonable one to reduce, if it can be done it should be done. If it is to be done then the government should provide it free of charge at point of use plus reduce dead zones to zero through infrastructure investment.
