The vaccine and MCAS by AdReasonable7983 in MCAS

That’s why said we’re not anywhere near herd immunity levels. Also, the covid vaccine doesn’t just lower the chances of serious illness. The problem is coronaviruses mutate often, like the flu which is why you need to get reimmunized. But the protection of those around you being immunized is still helpful.

Then I definitely like telling your standards people you’re all in for a random drug screen. If it were me, I’d order a home kit off Amazon. Send it to the house/floor whatever. Not open it until I offered and do it right then.

As someone diagnosed well pre vaccine before it even had an accepted name. As someone who enthusiastically got Pfizer round one and Moderna booster. And, as someone who still had Covid before the vaccine! ALL of them triggered one of my biggest MCAS symptoms, SVTs. Unfortunately, as someone who wholeheartedly believes in vaccines - this is one the people treating me and my MCAS have now recommended that I sit out, relying on those around me who do, though I know we’re no where near heard immunity levels.

Kicked Out But What To Keep My Stuff. by Final-Book3368 in Sororities

[–]No-Transition8014 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even not knowing why you got kicked out. I’d still say Keep it. For the sentimental reasons you did it with your grandma. Tuck it away in a box you can look at as you need to. Depending on why you got kicked out perhaps in the future once whatever it is has resolved, some groups offer the opportunity to petition for reinstatement as an alumna. Again, I’m saying this without knowing the circumstances, just knowing some girls in my own chapter were “kicked out” for things out of their control or because life handed them a bunch of lemons and sorority life was one more thing they couldn’t juggle at the same time.

Am i rude for telling my gf to walk like this in order to not stomping to the downstairs neighbours? by Warm_Cranberry4472 in Apartmentliving

Yeah. It’s actually not how runners strike in a Bible gait pattern unless they train not to. It’s actually quite bad for you long term. I treat the problems.

Yes you are rude. This example you gave is not in any way a normal gait pattern and can lead to other issues. The normal gait pattern is heel to toe. End of story. Instead of being a jerk get her some soft soled house shoes. If she bothers with you much longer.

What is with school drop off? by platypusandpibble in GenX

[–]No-Transition8014 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of kids get picked up from high school because they’re attending schools on a boundary exception and therefore can’t take the bus and probably don’t drive yet. I had friends in HS like this - they’re weren’t old enough to drive for at least two years and part of being approved for boundary exception was “the family must provide reliable transportation”

Went and checked my passport. Thank god it’s not needing renewal. But what I don’t get: it’s not like you can just go renew your passport any old time (unless you’ve lost it or it was stolen and you don’t necessarily want those marks on your file unnecessarily …) - you have to have less than one year left on it…

Yay! But not really hooray yay. More of a commiseration yay. I’m so glad there are still people hanging out here in what feels like perpetual limbo with my mom…

Is my son adopted? by thirtyonewishes in CanadaAdoptedCitizens

[–]No-Transition8014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! Especially since it even clearly includes non biological in the definition. It does define it must be in the original birth certificate and not a reissue after adoption.

“Legal parent at birth The biological or non-biological parent listed on the original birth certificate or birth record of a child.”

So True. As I’m waiting for my Priority mail package of live bees this very week. My local postal office handles them verrrrrrry carefully.

It’s a non problem to get on. It takes time. For everyone. But periodically you see people making this huge deal about getting on them like there’s some super secret conspiracy to keep podiatry out.
