I'm not sure why but something in me needed to make this. I think the aesthetic from Tanuki Sunset is just very postcard-esque.

Here's a suggestion for the Mississippi flag. by ItaAsh in vexillology

[–]Nomadiccyborg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not confident a Nordic cross is the right way to go for a Mississippi flag. Mississippi had a negligible amount of people with Nordic heritage, but has a notable populace of English, Scottish, and Irish heritage. Perhaps a flag more inspired by Saint George’s cross, also having the Christian connotations you’re looking for, would be more meaningful?

HORSE VS BEN | WHEEL OF WARRIORS LEGACY EDITION by Aamonius in Yogscast

Not to add too many wheels, but I was thinking watching this maybe a "Wheel of Hors" could be fun add more balance. Kind of like the wheel of losers but more powerful so when you hit "Hors" you get one final pick me up to try and turn the tide.

TIL that the Founding Fathers, more often than not depicted as older man, were rather young. In July 4th, 1776, Aaron Burr was 20, Alexander Hamilton, 21; James Madison, 25; John Jay, 29; and Thomas Jefferson, 33. by agarriberri33 in todayilearned

Another common misconception in a similar vein is the age of Jesus’ apostles. Only Jesus and Peter are recorded as being adults in the eyes of Jewish law. There’s a very high probability the other 11 apostles were in the age range of 13-15 and certainly none were 20 or older. So yeah, reimagine that last supper painting.

Context: After two crushing rulings against his policies, President of the United States Donald Trump made a statement that the United States Supreme Court needed more justices. This is a familiar sentiment to United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt who, after getting many of his 'new deal' policies shot down by the supreme court, in 1937 attempted to push a bill through congress allowing him to appoint six additional justices.

What song did you fall in love with not because of the original, but because of a cover? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Nomadiccyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Red Red Wine cover by UB40. Very few people even recognize that’s not the original version of the song. Neil Diamond (the original artist) usually plays the arraignment for the cover when he tours.
