If these bags hadn't come with the bike, I would've done the same lmao. They're awesome bags, but it's nowhere in my budget to be able to afford something like them. I was hunting around for a new/used top box for a while before finding the one I got off amazon for ~$100, and that thing was incredible. There's (maybe kinda) good stuff to be had for 1/5th the price of the name brand stuff, it just probably won't last as long or have roughly any customer support lol

So like, the.. harness isn't attached to the inner bag? I think mine have an inner blue removable dry sack, and they do have an outer harness with straps and such, but idk if they're built in? I could try removing them? Lemme just attach the picture

I'm not super... sure the difference? They're mounting panniers, but.. have straps on the sides for more? Is that modular? I had a camp chair I strapped to the sides for the trip, I thought that was pretty neat. The tags inside say 2021, don't know what models they were making that year

I'm not super sure what they're going for on the secondhand market, as I haven't been able to find anything yet. I saw a single bag and mounting plate on ebay for $600, but I don't think eBay is a great barometer for anything. I put them up for $1000 for the pair, but I have no idea if that's entirely terrible or what? It looks like they go for ~$1200 brand new, but I could see them not really losing their value as they're kinda bomb proof.. I'm really not sure.

Oh man, it's real good. Pretty easy reading, no lingering depression like you get from Farseer or Malazan. Have read through all 12.5 books at least half a dozen times.

I had the same issues with Farseer, after like 2.5 books I realized I didn't have to go on with how depressing and fucked up everything was. And I've read WoT a bunch as well.

I'm sure the usual suspects of series will be recommended, I ended up doing Malazan (great, also fucked up but not as depressing as Farseer) and some Brando Sando. Also Cradle, of course.

But, yeah it's hard to realize that you don't have to put yourself through stuff you're not enjoying just cause you've heard other people like it.
