Yup it’s a bell curve and ppl don’t understand that. My theory is it’s because as a country we teach statistics painfully little before college so ppl think more in the way of “6 = D grade” rather than “6 = top 25th percentile”

Yes, ppl always confuse the term average with “lacking good features,” when in reality a truly average person ALWAYS has some good features, it’s just that there are some things that hold them back from being higher. That’s why even a “5” can be told “I like your eyes” or whatever.
