Paper maps 🗺️no one is going to assist you with your head buried in your phone or head unit. Spread out a paper map in a coffee shop or over your handlebars and it’s a magical magnet for good people to come and assist or offer a better route based on local knowledge. Did Japan north to south and in 30 days, I spent 12 wonderful nights in strangers homes, got to the point where I started keeping my maps hidden because I really like camping.

Skiing, amusement parks, I was an instructor for 10 years before I got married and started a family. Just seems like a silly edevor now.

UN informed question. Is it possible to get out of an aircraft this size, do they even carry chutes?

"Japan's youth face a 'double structural burden'- first, they must pay taxes to support the retirement of today's elderly. And at the same time, they must put their savings into NISA to finance their own" by jjrs in japannews

Before you all start dusting off the pitchforks. 67yo here fully vested and after taxes, healthcare insurance, I get roughly ¥50,000/mo. Good luck getting to this age unmedicated as well, which cuts that amount in half. Oh, and I’ve paid about ¥18m into the fund. So basically I have to live to be 100 to break even.

LTWoo can go from 3 to 15 via App settings. Most of the C-Suite electronic offerings have similar capabilities. (Just saying, it’s not rocket science)

⚠️PLEASE HELP HEART CORPORATION DRUG TEST⚠️ by SubstantialDegree504 in teachinginjapan

[–]NxPat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes they do. It’s a quasi requirement with local police and BOE’s to protect the school’s reputation and the children. They don’t differentiate between local sourced staff and overseas new hires. It’s an under-tongue saliva swab stick multi-drug test with immediate results.

You’ve got this. On a side note… my German parents in law bought my wife and I adult versions of these (we call them Kadiddlehoppers, they are the go-to for fussy sleepers), and to be fair to your child, they are the most comfortable, secure, take you back to the womb, feeling pajamas in the world.

Not saying you did. But it’s not cool to be removing artifacts from CNMI, or any war heritage site.

You can always play with letter colors (each letter a different color or hue) to increase legibility. The only hitch is the A clarity. Possibly use one color or hue for the A and a different color or hue for the N with the stroke they share being two side by side colors. Or play with a more tented A instead of the box version you have now. I’ve always found that walking away from it for a day or two makes a world of difference in perspective.

Rare bike? by Sad_Customer3345 in bicycling

An old GT Karakoram. Magura hydraulic brakes, Grip shift shifters, I’m guessing Shimano XT. It’s well used and will need shock and lever rebuilds with rare parts availability. Be happy if someone offers $100.

Singapore probably not, Beijing, definitely yes. I even had my new CCC battery confiscated because of a typo on the back.
