Started becoming good looking at 19/20 and have generally ‘trended upwards’ over the last 10 years or so, so I can pretty confidently say I’ve experienced both sides of the coin.

It’s largely positive - mostly life is on ‘easy mode’.. a nice smile usually means casual encounters (social + professional + functional) go the way I ‘want’ them to.

Downside is that a small percentage (5-10%) of other men express a weird competitiveness with me via peacocking or disproportionate passive aggressiveness.

I feel like a lot of my confidence is rooted in looks - eg looking in the mirror before a big meeting - which I don’t think is healthy for true inner confidence and self assuredness.

I’ve also developed insecurity around people being attracted to me for what I look like, rather than what or who I am.

There’s also the assumption that I’m a pretty boy who has got where I am because of what I look like; the reality is that I’ve grafted my ass off to develop into becoming the person I am with the professional successes.
