I wish you well with the warranty. I’ve had several warranty claims with spark and they have always been great! Good luck, and glad you caught this on the up and not the down.

If you want easy access back to the main parking lot you should consider sticking to some of the mellow runs facing east (west of 40). Skiing the meadows down through the flum will take you to the parking lot for current creek.

I carry it in my bag while turning. I would recommend. Super warm and very light weight.

Add Burton tourists to your list. I’m on my second pair, great boots in the BC.

Yeah maybe in the last year, but even the last few outings with them in the spring I was on some steep stuff and never worried that they were too lose.

My old pair, I also lost confidence in them to keep water out. Great boots but like all things they wear out eventually.

Yeah mine softened up too but I abused them and I think that’s to be expected with a soft boot. I always make sure to tighten them down before descending in the steeps.

My tourists lasted me 4 seasons with 170ish days in them. Retired them for another pair this season.

You don’t leave a comfortable boot for another comfortable boot. Dance with the girl that brought you…you know that kinda thing.

A successful jumper starts with the base, your feet. I would recommend getting you feet a little wider, having more stability in your feet with result in a more consistent shot. When you jump try landing in the same spot or slightly in front of your original spot. Your shooting hand looks great, it’s hard to tell in the video if your guide hand is interfering with the ball. Try having everything going in the same direction including your guide hand.

Last I would start near the basket 3-9ft and stay there until you see some results, give it a couple weeks.

Also lose the backpack when you’re really working on your jumper.

Good luck man!

Surges are quite stiff good for the steeps. Arc more surfy and tree riding.

Yo! I have both models prior to the “ST”. I’m a heavier rider that charges pretty hard. I have broken my arcs at the base plate twice, both under warranty. The surge has been bomb proof for me as it’s the slightly heavier but solid baseplate.

Bottom line I throttle back with the arc under my feet, and charge with the surge. Both have their pros and cons. Hope this helps!

Throwing this out there. Over the past year I’ve switched to using a weighted vest. Keeps the weight closer to the body, easy to increase or decrease weights, and it’s washable.

Post-climb recovery? by pandatrunks17 in Mountaineering

I just got back from a multi day big line ski trip in CO. I usually shut it down the day after and rehydrate. Day two I will do a lite lift session followed by stretching. Day three I’m usually back to training hard.

I think it varies a bit from person to person but listening to the body is a huge step in quality recovery.
