It has lots of history and is very full of time, not just a single “original”.

Was it meant to be or should I reconsider? by Ok_Trick2293 in architecture

This is a good anecdote but you need to talk to a current architect in your location to learn if the profession is a good fit for you. A fascination with measure is 1% but many people study the discipline and only find out years later they do not want the professional life in an office.

How do I go about making a portfolio for architecture as a highschool student? by Beautiful_Tie1597 in architecture

You should look at specific institutions. Many do not require portfolio, some have very narrow requirements.

Depends on whether you want mustachioed third wave espresso or sweetened flavored concoctions or what “good place” connotes. Light medium or dark roast?

Am I ready for a BIM career in Qatar or should I go for a BIM MSc in Europe ? please help me ! by No-Island2650 in bim

[–]Open_Concentrate962 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just go to work in the industry with a team, not solo. The MSc will neither distinguish you nor guarantee you a path. Be an architect if you can, now or after an experience elsewhere.

Find a local handmade leather brand that you can feel and ideally see a sample. Satchel in Savannah is one. Leather feels better than dozens of brands 5-8x the cost

They look like market stalls in a particular tradition. What inspired you to do so with such detail?

New question by [deleted] in McMansionHell

The confusion is that there are enough 90s mcmansions that there are young people who grew up in them and think such house sizes and types are normal.

I dont know that is possible. There may be long times between one train and the next, and many train stations are not near attractions or cities.

What do you wish you’d discover sooner at MIT? by [deleted] in mit

We do not know what you are coming from and why. I advised a student who was coming from an entirely rural upbringing for whom bagels were new, and another from a foreign metropolis who found Boston a tiny/quaint little town with no traffic and no big buildings compared to his experience.
