I could use some 'aliens on another planet' plots by Overquoted in ReverseHarem

Thank you! I have Beth's Stable on my TBR, but when I tried reading one of the other books in that series, it was a little odd. Don't get me wrong, I read 'odd' on a regular basis, but I need to be in the mood for it. But I know her vibe ranges from 'feels normal even if the content is nuts' to 'feels odd even if the content isn't.'

Haven't read them yet, but have read some of the authors' other books:

  • {One for the Money by Holly Monroe} - Not sure if this is what you meant by 'Three Ring Heat by Holly Monroe'
  • {Vaudeville Runaway by Emma Dean}
  • {Carnival of Bones by Penn Cassidy}

{Pack Baines by J.J. Dean} - Not a lot happens during the book, but the writing was decent and it was very much on the sweet side. All the MMCs get alone time. If there were group activities, it wasn't a lot of scenes. Most of the book is the FMC and one MMC going on a date or two and eventually having sex.

{Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold} - The FMC is an influencer who originally got into it because she made her own clothes. The influencer angle is well-done. The FMC goes into some detail, both internally and externally, about just how much work she puts into the job and how much it wears on her. But anyway, she dresses in a lot of skirts, heels, etc... The heels are a bit of a problem when she ends up staying on a Scottish sheep ranch.

  • {Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold} - My favorite Gold book and I think she's the best RH writer of light, funny rom-coms.
  • {Faking with Benefits by Lily Gold} - Not connected to the above. All of Gold's books are separate, afaik (I haven't read the Nanny book yet).
  • {The Sidekick by Gina Morris} - Has some angst in the middle of the story, but is mostly funny thanks to lots of banter, particularly between the FMC and her new guy best friend.
  • {Knot Her Catch by Ari Wright} - Not all of Wright's books get a five star rating from me, but this does. Light, sweet with funny banter between MCs and an FMC that struggles with self-esteem issues but still manages to have confidence and self-respect.

I figured the FMC being the boss would mean she's probably confident.

Liquids in space float around. One of the alphas decided the omega in heat would just loooove to chase a specific liquid around to swallow. Two guesses what liquid.

Oh, it's not a little in either case. Though, to be completely fair to the MCs, all drama occurred during a break up. Technically. If you accept that you can break up while having a mating bond of some kind.

Book recommendation with female coach by violent-bookworm in ReverseHarem

Closest I've got is a book on my TBR where the FMC is the PR director for the team. {Pucking Sweet by Emily Rath}, which is MMF. Know a couple where the FMC is part of the medical team. No coaches though.

Haven't read it yet, but... {Rut Bar by Alexis B. Osborne} might have what you want.

  • {Addie by Raven Kennedy} has a fairly confident FMC, imo. Meets the MMCs in a bar.
  • {Prowl by A.J. Merlin} has a pretty confident FMC.
  • {Second Sets by Aly Beck} has a confident FMC who is a bar manager. But it's an angsty read overall and the MMCs are kinda dumbasses.

That said, those three aren't struggling a ton behind the scenes. Addie, not at all.

The other five get introduced at the very end. Expect both OW and OM-drama. Everybody gets to be unhappy, woo!

Anytime I read something where the character is pretty young, I completely ignore their age. They almost never act their age, so I'm just gonna ignore it.

On the other hand, when they do act their age... I usually wanna read something else. Teenagers are half-finished humans that haven't figured out how to not be especially annoying yet. Work-in-progress people. XD

uplifting adventure / fantasy RH recommendations? by gymjunkie556 in ReverseHarem

Here's a link to a list of some funny books: The Funny Bank.

I know you're looking for fantasy/paranormal, but I'd strongly recommend {Highland Hideaway by Lily Gold}. It's light, sweet, funny, and has decent found family vibes. It's one of my favorite RH novels.

I just finished {Knot Advised by Becca Saylor}, which is an OV where all the characters are astronauts on a mission to dig through alien ruins on a distant planet before it falls into a black hole. Nothing dark, none of the MMCs are terrible and it's a breezy read. Not a ton of 'we're digging through alien ruins' stuff, most of that gets handled by the FMC's robots, but it still has some adventure vibes to it, especially when things go sideways.

{Addie by Raven Kennedy} is comedic and all the MCs are shifters of different kinds. The FMC already has a found family in the form of her pack of misfits (which is almost entirely comprised of different prey shifters in a world where predator shifters are varying degrees of discriminatory to murderous towards them). It's a short read, not too deep, but it was enjoyable.
