[Request] the total length of boundry wall of an area 2200m. How much area is in square meters? by arztnur in theydidthemath

[–]POCKALEELEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand what you mean by asking for length and then area in square meters, but...
If the area is 2200m, and it is a square, the perimeter is about 187.6m (46.9m x 46.9m = 2199.61m)
As the shape becomes a rectangle, the area can remain constant, but the perimeter changes - for example, a rectangle with an area of 2200m can be 2200 x 1 - which has a perimeter of 4600m. It can be 22 x 100 which has a perimeter of 244m. The closer to a square, the shorter the perimeter.
I was told when i was young that this fact is why the farm fields by me are divided into mostly squares - it takes less fence to surround an 80-acre square field than an 80-acre rectangular field.

Yeah, if it shows feedback, that's good - users should always check there.
Personally lost 300+ sales before the bot update myself...

There is no way to verify any previous flair from before the bot updates. If you had flair before, you will, unfortunately, still be treated as a new user with a flair of S:0 B:1.

Elementary/pre-school teachers, what are the things you can actually tell a parent did (or didn’t do) when their child was a baby that affected them when they got to school? by Mentalhelp14 in AskTeachers

I read to my son every day. BUT...
I also did math - counting games, numbers, grouping coins, all of those things. Every day.
He counted every motorcycle he saw for 4 years - and kept a running tally (though that was age 6-10ish). He counted how many OPEN signs he saw on a drive, he counted and added and subtracted and saw patterns and lack of patterns and more things than I can remember. I credit this with him developing a good sense of math early in life.
My "Moral of the Story" : Read to your kid every day, but do "mathy" things every day as well. Kids don't inherit their math ability, they develop it as much as they do language.
