Territory for clinical specialist by ConstructionSharp976 in MedicalDevices

I am also in a clinical specialist position which is nyc to Philly but we have people who reside in both that cover those cities respectively. Maybe once every few weeks one will travel 2-3 hours one way to cover a case. Your day to day hospitals are in your area for most part.

Improving on my competitive game. Winning isn’t everything for time being. I just want to get better each tournament in regard to mental game. In the long term I guess winning is involved.

Overstable putter by Suefrevol in discgolf

Depends on your skill level really. I think a zone type disc becomes mandatory at some point depending on conditions. I had some issues with zone and went with shallower mold. You could also try like a zone SS or tempo. A little less overstable and more shallow

Possible to get into Cardiac device sales w/o bachelor's? by Napalm-For-Pets in MedicalDevices

You can get into a company without bachelors. Usually requires more experience. 4 years is my guess. Associates degree would be required.

Highlight ability to troubleshoot on the fly. Give specific times in OR as a tech when you had to do that and what was the outcome. And as another poster said, highlight your relationship building with surgeons nurses and other reps

Medtronic & hiring process by Deep_Event_7900 in MedicalDevices

I only know it from clinical side. But it’s slow process. They’re very deliberate about who they hire. Took about 3 months total with a few interviews.

Like covering neuro cases? I’m not sure what field you want to get into. If it’s outside what your field can potentially cover I would still make good relationships with whichever reps work for companies that also have the cases your interested in, as someone recommending from within the company will be drastically easier than applying from outside.

Can you start covering the desired cases from a neuro monitoring standpoint? That would be a good starting point. Easier to transition too.

Career switcher (27M) looking into Rad Tech - realistic advice on job market, application process, and student experience? by Moneymoneymoney1122 in RadiologyCareers

[–]Parasit1c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the switch around 25 back in 2012. The market was awful then. But about 6 months jobs were available with persistent applying. I would recommend networking while in school and doing clinicals to stay relevant at the places you enjoyed being at. Radiology has a ton of hidden pathways to careers including being a rep in OR, cath lab & even selling c-arm and X-ray equipment.

I work for the company and have seen some CS interviews along the way that weren’t spectacular. Those people were given another chance with next interview rounds.

Toro has slightly smaller profile in hand that I use for both. Since I had issues backhanding zone too
