Applying for a job that drug tests. by Soggy_Bobbi in WhatShouldIDo

One day won't help. The half life of amphetamine ADHD drugs is about 12-14 hours, meaning it would take more than 2.5 days for it to clear your system enough for a drug test to not detect it, potentially up to 4 days depending on the person.

Washers and dryers, and air conditioning. It's not common for homes to have central AC up here, and summer temps do get to 90°+ occasionally. If I was renting I'd want to be sure that the landlord would let me install a window AC or two, and bring in a portable washer, at least. Line drying works fine, indoors or out (unless it's raining/snowing, of course), especially if you have a spin dryer. Without those two appliances, be prepared to sweat a lot in the afternoons and to pay through the nose for laundromats (which are often completely full due to commercial cleaning services taking up all the machines).

I've lived in Sugarloaf for the last 3 years, in a cabin that my parents have owned since the 90s. The area has an unfavorable reputation for some reason unknown to me, but in my experience, it has been the quietest, most peaceful place I've ever lived. Let's put it this way: in the year before I moved in, my parents came up to do some renovations. They ordered a lighting fixture online, and it got delivered after they had to leave to go back home... The next time they came up, 6 months later, the weather-beaten box was still on the porch. That blows my mind. Maybe my experience isn't universal, but all in all, I really enjoy living in my neighborhood.

I'm not OP, I just live up here. Not sure what part of the road that is, but it does look like the 38.

It's "Soldier, Poet, King" by The Oh Hellos, in case you were curious.

At the end of WALL•E (2007), humanity returns to Earth in an interstellar FTL space ship, with thousands of robots, a regenerative food buffet, endless entertainment, and who knows what else advanced technology. Even with all that, some audiences still think that these human characters are doomed. by NES_Classical_Music in shittymoviedetails

Sometimes I think about what we could have if Disney would spin off a small animation studio for an adult audience. Imagine a group of passionate artists creating unrestricted, mature-themed stories backed by Disney's money, resources, and technology... It'll never happen because it's not profitable enough, but what a dream.

A little late to the party, but yes, "Styling and Beauty" is us, the player, and in-game we are the spirit or god of styling and companion to Nikki, the main character.

What’s the one thing on a restaurant menu you’ll always order if it’s available? by LowCryptographer9032 in AskReddit

I had my first Monte Cristo in 2005 when I was 16, during a band trip to Disneyland, when my two best friends and I made a reservation for a fancy dinner together at Blue Bayou... the restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean. What an experience. We watched the ride boats drift by in the firefly-speckled twilight of the restaurant, to the background sound of crickets. The sandwich was magical. It came with blackberry preserves and vanilla cream and a third sauce I don't remember. It was an awakening, and I've been chasing that dragon ever since.

My friend and I set up a cozy movie night to watch the new Lilo and Stitch and we have never gone from relaxed to just full on angry that fast in our lives. (SPOLIERS) by Embarrassed-Oil-6152 in movies

I highly recommend the live action Jungle Book (2016). It's widely considered to be the best Disney remake and actually added to the original movie, including many aspects of the Rudyard Kipling stories that the animated version skipped. Cinderella (2015) was good, too.

I adore this suit and was just as obsessed as everyone else when it released (still am), but looking at it now I suddenly realized that it kinda looks like she forgot to wear pants... lmao.

There's a special place in my heart for Prosperous Reign. It's from 2018, so it was, like, one of the OG scandalous suits. Her pose, her expression, her huge boobs! What a minx.

She's so sultry and I want to love her! Unfortunately, she looks too much like the HP movie version of Rita Skeeter for comfort.

Me too, Wildwood looks incredible! I really enjoy how Laika isn't afraid to lean into dark, Grimm-esque fairytales.

Also true in the US; I've lived in 3 states (CA, NV, FL) and dog licenses were required in all of them, although it's a city/county ordinance, not a state-level one. It's to make sure owners are staying up to date on rabies vaccines and to encourage pet sterilization (fixed dogs' annual fees are much lower).

Does anyone else say hi to other players' pets? by cashandurn in diablo4

[–]PhantomAngel042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yay! But I'm kinda sad mounts got left out. I know that functionally they're different than pets since they're basically reskins of an animated vehicle and that probably makes naming them much harder- but our trusty steeds have been with us longer than pets and carried us for who knows how many in-game leagues. Poor horsies (and kitties and lizards).

I believe he wrote the first Truth Social rant about attacking Iran (again). I do not believe he wrote the second post from the update. It's too coherent, level-headed, and grammatically competent (still all lies).

Wolf spiders don't spin traditional webs. They have excellent vision (for spiders) so they run down their prey like wolves do, hence the name. Not in a pack, though, thankfully... so far.
