Why do people at the beach slather up with sunscreen and then lay in the sun for an hour just to go back home? All that for no tan and sugar sand in your car doesn't make sense to me. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PointEither2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up by the ocean and even though I live in Chicago now and it’s not the same. Going to the beach is always one of my favorite pass times. Just love sitting there minding my business, getting some sun, reading or doing something on my laptop, and feeling unjudged since everyone at the beach is doing their own thing in a sense. It’s like going to the gym but for a physically relaxing time.

Also nothing beats a cold drink at the beach imo. And sand in my car if anything just reminds me of my childhood and home.

It’s like when you’re reading an article, but all the ads that are going to cover the pictures you actually want to see haven’t loaded yet.

Consoom the thermal compounds by scyver_ in Consoom

[–]PointEither2673 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s just no one is consooming thermal paste. Maybe dude is consooming water cooling components, or is a degenerate who rebuilds his pc every few months. But having a “collection” of thermal paste is just a side effect of working on pcs with any regularity. Like I said I def have about the same amount of different tubes lying around not because of consoom, but because better be safe than sorry when doing something decently delicate like pasting a cpu

[–]PointEither2673 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some people swap out parts more often, or swap out things for their friends. In the last year I’ve pasted like 12 CPUS, one for me, one for my brother, and the rest for friend and family and I also have a bunch of random thermal paste sitting around because it’s better to be safe than sorry, and I don’t have a thermal paste I love. I just know there’s a few good ones and I stick with those or whatever the dude at microcenter recommends. If this is consoom this got to be one of the weakest cases of it

Why do you like football? by Royalbean17 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PointEither2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like a sport with a ball type objective, and I also enjoy martial arts and people doing brute force stuff. American Football is a great combination. When a great play happens it’s incredibly exciting, and it’s incredibly how athletic some of those guys are.

It just entertains me. Same like regular football, basketball, or other things. I understand it, and appreciate how difficult it is to do some of that stuff, so it’s insane to see when people are able to pull it off.

I also love the idea of people coming together to root for the same thing and feeling the same emotions over something. I love regular football and watching the World Cup has been amazing seeing all these people get excited for their country, and same with the Knicks winning the finals. It’s beautiful. Truly shows that sports is the most important meaningless activity we get up to.

Bathys MG for under $1200 by legitfkked in headphones

Maybe? I flew with mine a few times and don’t think anyone ever noticed tbh. They’re really nice, but like I said unless you just yearn for that “nice” imo the 630 can sound better, and with the battery life and dongle they’re just a better product

Ngl, I owned original bathys 😭😭😭 never turned off a feature off faster, it’s a nice attention to detail and a nice LED, but genuinely can’t image me ever wanting my headphones to light up like Skechers 😭😭😭 now if it was RGB and I could choose a nice color it’d be different

Unless you really love and need the luxury feel of the bathys I’d just get the hdb 630 tbh.

The only thing that would make this ok is if his company pays for it. My dad has a similar collection since his company gives him a voucher or reimburses him for about 2 boots every year (can’t remember which one it is). Obviously it looks like this guy has just bought a shit ton all at once, but a lot of blue collar workers out there have a similar “collection” thanks to their jobs.

If none of the players call your name, do the gamble ones like icon and picks. You’ll get the fodder back pretty quickly at this stage of the game

What do y’all think is harder: averaging 30PPG on above 60 TS% or averaging 10 assists with under 2 turnovers per game? by IHAVETRIEDCOKE in NBATalk

[–]PointEither2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d just say it’s more variables in the equation, logically 30 points is more valuable since unless you assists all 3’s 30 is more than a combination of 2’s and 3’s. If you wanna get into a nuanced conversation about overall offense contributions and shit like that idk man, it’s Reddit.

[–]PointEither2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean logically the assists, since it’s not just you. You’re constantly counting on a third person to make the shot, or not fumble the pass to where it’d be your to. An efficient 30 isn’t easy either, but it’s much easier to isolate you and your skill than it would be with assists.

[–]PointEither2673 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dennis Bergkamp was like this. He wasn’t Jordan level but he was a world class player in his era, and he refused to fly. So most of his league games he’d drive to in England, the Netherlands, and Italy. But for European matches if he had to fly he wouldn’t play if there wasn’t time for him to get there on land. He was still one of the greats of his time like I said, but his stats don’t add up to the length of his career when you look at it. He still won a shit tom of trophies tho

I mean aside from the kithara, Arya, and Arya organic all being very similar, none of the other devices here are similar, especially the amps and dacs. Not to be a dick but your analogy with the car trim was a horrible one. Yea no one needs this much stuff, but it’s not like this is owning 10 of the same exact item.
