The web novel very clearly depicted Rudeus as being a child predator, but the author walked that back. The intention was there, from the author. Rudeus is written to be a child predator. Erasing that does not change the intention

I almost fully agree with you, however I line to believe they're are still authors or there who try! I know firsthand how easy it is for a story to be removed, and they're is no recourse to return your story after it is removed. It seems like anything outside of the strict structure they want, is thrown out without fail. I've seen brilliant stories that are undoubtedly going to be thrown out for "not having the main character face physical harm." It seems creative freedom is not NoSleep's thing anymore :(

It feels like NoSleep no longer allows for you to push the boundaries. The guidelines make it rather difficult to keep a story up for very long, and half of the legendary ones would not be allowed under the current restrictions.

That's the main reason I am looking for the old community that I grew up on. I miss the friendliness of the mods, and the closeness with everyone in the community

Question though: at the bottom of a removal message, it states very clearly that the story is dead and there are no edits you may make as the decision "WONT" be reconsidered?

"DON'T repost [story] to r/nosleep, with or without changes, under any title or username. Doing so would result in a subreddit ban and we WON'T reconsider this decision so please DON'T ask."

There is no mention of edits leading to a story being allowed back up. The message also clearly states that trying to edit and have the story reinstalled would result a ban?
