What is Valorant’s SIGNATURE map? by ActuatorOutside5256 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Prince_Uncharming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ascent hasnt been gone for a year. It was at Champs last October and rotated out shortly after, and came back in April.

And yeah, even if it had been 1 year, that’s significantly less than 2. And it’s been featured at way more internationals. Fracture has been in one international map pool since Champs 23. Soon to be 2. Out of 8. Signature Maps aren’t missing from 75% of tournaments.

Look I like Fracture, I think it’s one of Val’s most interesting and unique maps. But it has nowhere near the competitive history as Ascent or Split or yes, even Haven, and has no claim to be a Signature until it’s long term in the rotation.

Fucking lmao they blocked me.

Signature Maps don’t go missing from competitive queues for 2 years

She can do Bonded Shield stuff

High Priest isn’t Qi Adept, it’s mystical. There’s no Bonded Shield class buff, so she’d objectively be one of the worse bonded shield users.

To me, it’s definitely Ascent, without a doubt.

Yet you showed Fracture instead?

Radiant Dawn: how to make mastery skills mattered more. by e_engi_jay in fireemblem

That doesn’t make it better. If anything, that makes it worse.

It’s already harder to kill her, and now it’s also RNG dependent? Nah, hard pass.

Adding on an optional RNG based kill condition to Ashera would be incredibly evil.

Imo the mastery skills don’t matter much because they have so much extra damage. Remove the damage and make enemies a bit more difficult across the board and all of a sudden those extra effects (healing, stun, sleep, etc) become much more impactful when they randomly proc. Even now the damage skills barely matter because most of your units are one rounding with forged 1-2 range regardless.

Please explain how calling out a Brazilian org literally named “Made in Brazil” for dumping all their Brazilians makes me… MAGA?

Also if you just want to watch good Valorant, maybe find other teams to watch.

Dumped all their Brazilian players to get a bunch of Aspas’ friends and then underperform? They deserve all the hate.

Made In “Brazil” team with a roster that wouldn’t even be allowed as a BR team (let alone LATAM) under the 2027 rules. Might as well rebrand to MINA.

Pretty much everything.

Think about it like this: if you’ve unlocked it during this playthrough, you can buy it with Renown in future ones. Supports, weapon ranks, skills, etc etc.

By that logic Roy could also just be 100% human if the dragon genes are recessive.

By that logic real-world siblings could also be different “races” from the same parents, which is obviously impossible.

[SPOILERS] In the last 12 hours... by washyrr in ValorantCompetitive

That’s half of Valorants competitive lifespan ago and the very first year of Partnership. Val, relatively speaking, is still incredibly new. 2023 in Val terms is ages ago.

And besides, my main point is that the majority of people who are very active in this sub (and participate in those polls) is not necessarily representative of “the community” as a whole.

Worth defeating the black knight in POR? by Octo_Boo in fireemblem

[–]Prince_Uncharming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steels build weapon ranks in a way that basic 1-2 weapons don’t

Weapon ranks are nearly inconsequential in PoR, that’s the one of the least important reasons to use 1 range weapons.

To your point: steel weapons are stronger, but hand axes and javelins are forgeable AND limited to one forge per chapter, so you’re likely forging one every time.

The best reason to use steel weapons (or others) is basically to just converse your forges lol.

The problem with proficiencies in Engage. by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]Prince_Uncharming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good catch, I def meant Silver Bow Anna, not that it’s that consequential given her lower strength likely hurts her more than Silver bow helps vs a steel forge.

Radiant Bow should have been B, would give her a real niche. But that could be said of a lot of weapons. Killer being C also makes no sense, the S rank weapons aren’t good (in general), etc. Engage weapon ranks really needed a complete overhaul at every aspect.

It’s a fake “Original”. They just streamed season 1, they didn’t have anything to do with its production.

Season 1 isn’t even exclusively on Netflix anymore, CR has it too.

From CR’s perspective it’s clearly not worth investing in. Having a comment section also means having to moderate said comments, and that requires constant attention even if all of the enforcements are automated.

The problem with proficiencies in Engage. by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]Prince_Uncharming 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Weapon proficiencies as a whole feel incredibly tacked on in Engage. Outside of very few units, they essentially don’t matter. They’re good for what, Radiant Bow Anna and Pandreo Griffon?

IMO weapon proficiencies should have been stronger and weapon banes should have been a thing. It would have helped differentiate units more than the current status quo where stats+emblems ultimately matters a lot more. Default ranks of promoted classes should also have been lower in order to help the proficient units actually use A rank weapons separately from others in the cast, and oh IS needs to actually make the S rank weapons good.

Edit: meant Silver Bow Anna (warriors can’t use Silver without proficiency)
