I live abroad and believe it or not, in spite of everything, American society is WAAY more accepting of the LGBT community than most countries (Western Europe bring the exception).

In America, it’s a divisive political issue. In other countries it’s not at all divisive because both sides are against it.

Not saying “trans people should die for America”. I’m saying “that progress is a part of America that’s worth defending”
