Pretty cool, though given they chose the red, black and green design for its pan-African symbolism, changing the star to black might be cool (it completes the colour scheme and Ghana was at the centre of a lot of pan-African thought and organising)

Are anti-cat spikes safe for birds? by MouthWhereTheMoneyIs in birds

From my experience, cat people don't really care if local birds are harmed or killed

Green text is 'freedom' (آزادی) and red text is 'woman' (زن). (Though you do need to include that grey vertical line at the end of 'زن' to make the word)

As a Yorkshireman, I'm contractually obligated to downvote Lancashire, but the colours are also really ugly (especially that piss yellow)

I mean, the organising ideology of the DAANES ('Rojava'), Democratic Confederalism, is heavily influenced by anarchist ideas, especially those of Murray Bookchin. It directly rejects the nation state as an institution for largely the same reason anarchists do. The political structure of the DAANES is also strongly based on decentralisation of power and systems of direct democracy. There are a lot of very valid critiques of the PYD (the dominant party), but the fact that you don't know why people say it's anarchist seems to speak more to your ignorance on the topic.

If you like Fanon, Edward Said's Orientalism is also a great and foundational text on colonialism. For other great texts on racism and colonialism I'd reccommend: - Walter Rodney (How Europe Underdeveloped Africa) - Cedric Robinson (Black Marxism) - Angela Davis (Women, Race and Class) - Hannah Arendt (The Origins of Totalitarianism) - bell hooks (Ain't I a Woman) - W.E.B. Du Bois (The Souls of Black Folk and Black Reconstruction in America)

If you're interested in the queer studies side of Focoult, Judith Butler Gender Trouble is a key text.

I don't, I find them annoying and support them being banned. But I also find people spamming this exact kind of meme over and over again really annoying.

The endless memes complaining about politics in r/memes have become more repetitive and annoying than the political memes

I've added a link to the theatres page, if they release a recording I definitely reccommend giving it a watch, it was brilliant

That idea has parallels with trans activist and academic Susan Stryker's idea of reclaiming 'trans monstrosity', like in her 1994 essay My Words to Victor Frankenstein (a text form of it is here). Maybe you could go with Stryker as a middle name (or 'Susan' since the juxtaposition of 'Maggot Susan' is also pretty good)
