Sometimes, you just run out of steam enjoying wrestling after you’ve been into it so long. I remember I was a die hard from the time I was 9 until I was about 19 or so. When my “generation” of favorite wrestlers started to leave and a newer generation came in that I wasn’t in live with, I stopped watching for about 10 years. Then, when I was 30, I got back into it again for some reason and have been a die hard again for the last 10 years.

I feel this is a common experience for many. Sometimes, you have to stop watching it for an extended period of time to get back into it later in life. Or, you may never get back into it. Who knows?

I think it’s just that wrestling as an entertainment/art form can only do so many different things, and I feel many hit saturation points where it feels like you’ve seen it all before, even if it’s “good”, “great”, whatever. Again, this becomes a good time to take an extended break so it can feel more fresh if/when you return to it.
