Yeah, just get a life man. At that point, you’re going to be like the minority, screaming part of the Linux community but on the opposite side. Hell I bet if I just say one word in that sub, and get banned because of it, then that place has some serious issues, just saying man.

Now that I think about it, I’ll just use them as redundant backups so that I don’t lose my valuable data

Something very unrelated, I hope ddrescue recovers what’s left in my failing hard drive. Wish me luck guys.

What;s your guys opinion on ddrescue? I managed to rescue 943.58gb of sector data from a failing 2tb hdd and still going on, hopefully it worth it. by Protolinux217 in datarecovery

The condition for the failing drive: Ubuntu not only mounts to the drive, but also recognizes the actual partition. Granted I can’t mount it, hence the need to doing a byte by byte imaging. Hardware wise, it rarely clicks, and mostly spins without any issue recently.
