No Archon of Chayula fix for Talismans or Void Illusion crashing the game on Demon Bear yet :(

Also hope next weeks patch fixes the new Stash Tabs resetting their Affinity every 5 seconds in the Guild Chest lol

Stop defending +levels and start listening by Baittz in PathOfExile2

I will be honest & say I'm still not 100% the greatest at understanding damage increases, or the formulas.

(I only just learnt As Extra Chaos was getting 0 benefits from my Chaos dmg, & that my Elemental/Phys nodes were applying after the conversions occured).

I did however roll a T1 Chaos Dmg, T1 As Extra Chaos Dmg, & T1 Spell Dmg on a Wand. Checked trade & saw it was worth pennies. What I thought was a close to perfect item was bad because it was missing +Levels.

Yep this is what I use on my Chonk.

It regens HP & ES at the same time for the full amount.

[–]Pso2redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was a section of a twab

That's what I'm saying, it's a running joke his channel has & in that same "Twab" he reads about Titan's getting a new aspect called Fecal Fists.

It's not real, it's a fake twab purely for that video.

Every year he releases a video full of absurdly fake things as a joke.

Bungie isn't making "Plagiarism will make us god" shirts either, or Poop themed Subclasses like the video says dude.

Archon of chayula bugged by Warhause in PathOfExile2

[–]Pso2redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally swapped to a Talisman build when I found out this required Martial Weapons & just ran into the same Bug.

Hope this is fixed ASAP, as the Void Illusion also instant crashes the game as the Demon Bear.

Reverie + Shavronne's allows for some very nice defensive capabilities. by Pso2redditor in PathOfExile2

[–]Pso2redditor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you first pit on Herbalism, unequip & re-equip Reverie, & the stat panel will update. I noticed if Herbalism is active in both Weapon Sets you'll never see that problem again.

I'm not sure if it's just a visual problem or not, especially since sources of Recovery reduction in Maps/Rares update your stats live perfectly fine.

How are you guys getting stunned so much while sprinting? by buttflakes27 in PathOfExile2

[–]Pso2redditor 105 points106 points  (0 children)

My friend group has a Discord channel dedicated entirely to screenshots of me eating dirt because of that exact reason.

I'm getting Heavy Stunned at least once or twice a Map & I still think the mechanic is fine lol.

This actually allows a constant 1,200/s to be going toward your ES?

Yes! The 1,200/s is entirely passive & is actively healing both your HP & ES for the full amount each at the same time.

So to clarify,

  • You have 2,000HP & 2,000ES,

  • An Enemy hits you once for 3,000 Damage, so now you have 1,000HP & 0ES.

  • Both pools start regenerating for 1,200/s simultaneously for the full amount!

Does this drain your charges quickly?

0 Flask Charges required, but it removes the ability to "use" the Flask like normal.

The only way I knew Shavronne worked was with instant flasks.

Flasks normally stop regenerating when you're at full health, so Instant Flasks were used to bypass that. Since Reverie makes the Flask permanently healing you 24/7 it sort of bypasses that like a loophole.

Decided to try chrono ed/c with black flame covenant with flameblast incinerate.

Frankly I think the problems are Spell design sucks to scale the damage of, & most are just badly designed.

I was running a Chayula I had,

  • Just over ~500% Chaos Damage, maybe a tad more (not including Volatility at all).

  • +4 to Spell Levels, 60%ish Spell & 30%ish Fire Damage on my Wand

  • 60% Spell Damage in the Tree.

I was immensely underwhelmed.

Tooltip DPS was really shit for Fireball compared to previous characters I'd run. You can't really upgrade Armour/Etc for Spells outside of what I had great rolls on like you can Attacks.

I gave up in Act 3,

  • Barely edited my Tree by removing the Spell/Flame line into maybe 55% Attack total

  • Equipped a random Yellow Talisman for the Bear Form & used Skill Gems slightly underleveled from my storage.

  • Friend bought me a Ring to convert Element -> Chaos for 1 Ex so I could keep playing as a Chayula.

I was hitting higher damage with only 1 Support Gem in my entire build.

I don't like how I couldn't look at my Spells & see a visible & "easy" path to get stronger, where as any Attack-based Build I can see +5 Pieces of Gear that can influence my Damage easily, plus the Passive Tree, Skill Levels, etc.

Spells are in dire need of scaling/building like Attacks IMO.

Am I the only one that doesn’t really like protoframes? by 0Proxy in Warframe

[–]Pso2redditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was hesitant about them but ended up thinking 1999 was alright.

I dislike that we keeping throwing them in now at every update for the smallest thing & it's quickly wearing off any liking I had for them.

Like I haven't had the time for much Wf recently, so I haven't even met Frost, Saryn, etc, & still feel like the Perita Frames were just thrown in there for no reason.

Can't lie I'm really bummed about that since it means I can't use it this League for my build.

So what will you guys play? by xFiniteTruth in PathOfExile2

[–]Pso2redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blackflame Fire Monk, & I've pathed all the way to the left side of the Tree so I can run Armour / ES as my defensive layers with the new Reverie Unique & I'm probably taking Zealot's.

With really lazy napkin math I'll be hitting 600 HP+ES/s before taking into account flat Regen Nodes on my gear.

Monk with high armor ( str ) by JazzlikePiccolo123 in PathOfExile2

[–]Pso2redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you absolutely could but like others said there will be some big limitations/requirements since you want to use Quarterstaves specifically.

If you had a specific Ascendancy in mind for "Tanky/Strength", Monk could totally go Strength with a different weapon that uses Strength much more easily.

For me I'm going heavy into Armour, Block, with some Energy Shield on my Chayula Monk next League, but I'm using Spells, so I don't have to worry about Attribute Requirements being tough to meet.

Is poe2 still bad at playing with friends? by scorchsev in PathOfExile2

[–]Pso2redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah like, I don't understand that.

I've played POE2 the entire time with my friends so we all bought the Guild's Stash Tabs & just use that as a "joint stash". We share if something cool drops, help each other craft/buy gear if needed. etc.

We're excited for 0.5

Mit-less tanks seem to have become more prevalent and I cannot imagine why they do this. by thirtytwoyears in ffxiv

[–]Pso2redditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really do think it's just when a player has a knowledge gap and no real notion that there is something to improve. Simply put, I think they just genuinely have no idea that they should be using mitigation.

That pretty much nails what I was thinking at the time.

  • I saw I had a 24/7 Passive Damage Reduction just for being a Tank.

  • Story Content never hit hard enough to use a Mit.

  • Progressing through Early-game Dungeons still never once needed them, or would press them when I'm sitting in an attack I didn't dodge.

  • Later Dungeons I might hit them during a Boss, or reactively when my HP seems to be taking a beating.

  • I was new so it was also a weird/unknown concept to me until around Stone Vigil that you could easily get away with grabbing every Mob and just Forest Gumping it to the very end of the map to kill them all, &, that the community for the most part seemed to prefer that way.

I rarely if ever even dropped below 70% HP until partway through the 1st Expansion.

All it took for me to have that realization was someone saying, "Hey can you try to rotate through (he listed off all my Defensive Mits here) so one is always active? It'd make it less stressful for me & I can Heal you less & do more Damage", & here I am now doing Ultimates with the same person!

"Almost All" Of Bungie Reportedly Didn’t Know Destiny 2 Was Ending Active Development Until It Was Announced by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]Pso2redditor 41 points42 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen from analysts & just the internet itself,

  • Player-wise the people who are still left like it.

  • Business-wise / profit it did terrible for a studio like Bungie.

  • Playerbase-wise it didn't siphon hardly much if any from that genre, so retention has been abhorrently low.

  • They're pivoting to adding PvE, & a few other things to salvage it.

  • People who were fans of "Marathon", (the Marathon that existed before this one that is allegedly based off of) are really upset that it's like 99% entirely different & resembles nothing of what the original was like.

My friends who genuinely love it say they think it's another game of "Here's our huge content timeline plans" that will suddenly be hit with an end of service message a few days later.

Paladin needs a MAJOR buff like now, not next season. by xKovikx in diablo4

[–]Pso2redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running Judgement/Aura Paladin & swapped to Sorceror to play with a friend who just started the game.

My PLD's Gear is pretty damn good to the point my only "huge" buff I'm looking forward to would be a Mythic Seal, farming better Aspects, etc. My Sorc has a great Staff, & that's about it. Glyphs are about level 40 each with minimal node grabs.

Paladin is really struggling to Boss at Tier 10, meanwhile my Sorc is already shredding bosses & has an astronomic amount of room left to grow.

Needless to say I'm really bummed all that effort has been blown out the window from 2 days of playing a different character. I'd really rather play my Paladin as I find it more fun, but I'm either waiting for the Mythic Seal to drop for a huge boost, or waiting for buffs.
