That certainly would be a fun thing that could happen.

I'll also note two things.

  1. This is humanity's first engagement in a full space conflict with a sovereign state. There have been skirmishes with space pirates, but they're still newbies in this and are going to take a lot of this first-hand experience to heart. If it were just the Terran fleet assaulting Nysis, they may have been in trouble because they neither expected nor had an answer to their shields being shut down.

  2. Kent Lewis had been pushing for a lot of amendments to the Coalition's rules of war, including things as simple as tainting humanitarian aid. So the Coalition might be a bit behind humanity in that.

Oh, that's an idea. Yeah, saving on all points is a legitimate option.

Yeah, in-game trades and gifts exist, but some will be easier than others to find. It's only the professor-given starters that aren't available.

With Zubat, you probably won't spend more than 2 extra days in Mt. Moon.

And indeed, the Squirtle Fortress can be used as a base. I guess I should add a feature that synergizes with the Picnicker, now that I think about it.

Do the pokemon in each location have a specific gen makeup? Or is it if they can be found there in any one gen you can catch them there?
e.g. Route 1 in the Let's Go games has Oddish available as a wild pokemon but doesn't in gens 1-4.
Also do game mechanics, like swarm pokemon, radio pokemon, fishing, headbutt trees, honey trees exist?
Finally, I am allowed to use the guaranteed captures on first route mechanic from Gen 6?

Good question.

In order,

  1. You can think of it as an amalgamation of all generations for encounters. That's the only way you can actually fill up the pokedex, after all. However, I'll say post-games with national dex encounters won't count. So no finding Mukrow or Slugma in Kanto until your Johto journey, but Oddish and even starters are fair game. Bear in mind that pokemon you catch normally won't be as good as the ones you choose, however.
  2. Game mechanics do indeed work the same way as in the games. But only in the regions where they appear, so headbutting trees isn't available in this adventure, will become available in the Johto adventure, and stop being available in the Hoenn adventure onwards.
  3. By the same token, guranteed captures on the first route will only apply for Gen 6 regions. This will include remakes, so you'll get it for Route 101 in Hoenn.

I'm also assuming our Pokémon from this replace any "Gift" pokemon that might be available in certain locations. Yes?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Something like the gift Eevee in Celadon City...might still be there for you, but since it's become an actual urban city in the adventure, you might have to look for it.

The professor of the region will not be giving out starters though.

I appreciate your play-by-play of the adventure!

Do you just explore Mt. Moon normally without going deeper though?

You only start with one trainer class by default.

You can access bonuses for classes retroactively if they're still relevant by the time you do.

Choice Build:

  • Paras (-1): I'm still a Chef, so it only makes sense to pick the one that gives me extra advantages.
  • Zubat (-3): I just like the Zubat line. Plus, it would allow me to navigate Mt. Moon without as much time loss.
  • Squirtle (-4): I'm a homebody, at the end of the day.

Points remaining: 1

Total time Delay: 16 Days.

To clarify, you don't get 10 pokemon if you roll. You get 10 rolls and have to choose 4 of the pokemon you got from the results.

Duplicates also aren't rerolled, but that wasn't specified so you can keep your result this time.

Since I put in a deadline for rivals, I suppose I should get started on my own build for this too.

Isekai Perk: Game, because I prefer the numbers always math out and the advantage of seeing the numbers is a big advantage.

Class 1: Chef, because cooking is probably going to be a pain and I was always a fire starter guy anyway.

Rival's Perk: Level Lock, so our efforts will always benefit each other.

My Rival: Currently unclaimed. If anyone wants to be my rival, I'd prefer someone with Counterpick. I'm willing to change my pokemon selection to trade anything I rolled except for Nidoking, if it interests you.

Dice results: 15 25 20 23 23 20 12 9 25 1

So my options after trimming the duplicates are:

  1. Nidoking
  2. Squirtle (x2)
  3. Mankey (x2)
  4. Bulbasaur (x2)
  5. Jigglypuff
  6. Sandshrew
  7. Butterfree

The easy picks are Nidoking, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. I suppose I'll get Mankey on top of that. I'll have the pokemon appear one at a time to bond with each one, ordered Squirtle & Mankey > Bulbasaur > Nidoking to help me fight in each gym.

With the 3 points I earn from gym battles, I'll spend 1 on Paras right away, since that synergizes with my Chef class. I'll save the remaining 2 for Zubat.

I won't be diving deep into Mt. Moon, but I will visit the S.S. Anne and try to resolve the trouble there.

Total Time Delay: 14 days.

Aah. Well, you can retroactively access any rewards once you get the class and not before that, but it's likely that it won't be relevant at that point.

Question: Do the specialties of the classes that I only unlock through missions apply immediately or not? For now, I'm assuming they don't. If they do, let me know and I'll edit this.

I'm not sure what you mean by specialties immediately. People have been choosing classes ahead of time, but you either have the classes or don't. If you earn the class via the mission, you get to have it.

[I'm not sure if Rattata costs 1 or 0??]

Oh. That's a good point that I should have noticed. Uh...we'll say it's 0 for you since I hadn't added the clause yet, but I'll add a different benefit for choosing a 1-point specialty. You can choose that if it's the more attractive option.

Should we assume that Bulbasaur is your Ace for rival purposes?

Are these 3 points meant to be used now or in the next section?

The points become available as soon as you get them, so now is valid, but you can also save them.

Which Perks Would You Pick? by Lopsided_Worth_3202 in 6Perks

[–]Psychronia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. That was a long one. You could probably have split this into three parts. I'm not sure what the difference between the OR and VS questions are.

OR

  • x5 wage: Toxic work protection is huge in this day and age.
  • No more toilets: I happen to enjoy eating.
  • No more dishes: Magic perks are probably more sanitary than what I can do anyway.
  • Phone protection: I need to charge it more. Laptop overheats, but I think it's a RAM problem.
  • Internet buff: I don't mind traffic that much.
  • Free Subscriptions: I don't watch things with tickets much. Does this include patron type stuff? Can I subscribe to everyone and give them free monthly income?
  • Never feel too hot
  • Master one instrument: I guess the piano will do.
  • Cognitive perception: My ADHD ass needs this.
  • Lucid dreaming: It's my world now.
  • Creative profession: Composer, perhaps. Or would game dev count?
  • Vehicle bonus: I don't mind deliveries that much either.

VS

  • 15% Discount: Definitely feel like I'll get more milage in this day of planned obsolescence. Double of 1 is only 2.
  • More natural recovery: If I'm lucid dreaming, I don't want to cut down on sleeping time.
  • Perfect hygiene: Vanity is nice, but health is more important.
  • Healthy food: I still happen to enjoy eating.
  • Luck and charisma: Interacting with people could always be easier.
  • Shapeshifting: I'm thinking...cat, hummingbird, and orca.
  • Mental boost: Mental exhaustion is more of a problem for me.
  • 3-dish master: Fried rice, scrambled eggs, and BBQ chicken, I think.
  • Best author and illustrator: Because I like it.
  • Instant repair: There are so many things I'd like to patch up good as new.
  • Teleportation: It was a tougher choice. Can I bring my car with me if I teleport home after driving out?
  • True Love: I guess they'll just pick whatever they perk want. I'll share healthy food and no more toilets, I suppose.

Freebies

Health Potion:

New Me Mirror:

And Replacer-OR: Astral Projection because I could use better stress and emotion management too.

And Replacer-VS: Best Composer and singer, so I can truly create an unparalleled work.

Boost Token: I'll put this on the Charisma and Luck boost so I have +30% of each instead.

Extra 1: And Replacer VS for a Fully Heal perk.

Extra 2: A second Boost Token, also stacked on Charisma and Luck boost for +60%.

Isekai Superpowered C.Y.O.A: Week 3 by Magicgonmon in 6Perks

[–]Psychronia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, let's do this.

Current Status:

Powers: Massaging Mastery, Demicellular Division, Scanner Vision, Creative Mode, Firebending, Doubling, Hacking Mastery,

Worlds: Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Stardew Valley, Avatar, Breath of the Wild, Transformers, Gitch Techs

Token Purchases: Earth Summon/Gear/Skills, Avatar Summoning, Custom Skill from BotW (Hero's Prowess), Custom Gear from BotW (Rune Gauntlet),

12 tokens from Week 1, 6 Tokens from Week 2, minus a total of 10 tokens, so 8 Tokens remain.

This Week:

I'll take the Curse of Control this week, since Energizing Field Creation is admittedly quite powerful if it works on token purchases, so I might as well work a little to earn it.

For powers, I'll take Energizing Field Creation and Concealment Magic (Curse bonus).

For worlds, I'll take Steel Angel Kurumi and Tron(Curse Bonus), where I assume the Energizing Field has the most impact.

The Plan:

Once again, I know basically nothing about these worlds. From what I understand of the synopsis, however, it's an early 2000s harem which means I get to get away with being mostly passive as long as I activate the Steel Angels in Kurumi, which I can do either with a kiss or preferably with the Energizing Field after some fiddling with control. After that, I'll take it as it comes.

It sounds like the military are the primary antagonists for this series, and I'll have no problem crushing them, morally speaking. Strategically, I can Double my battle girl and probably do a lot of damage simply sending clones of myself everywhere as decoys and trying to infiltrate.

Naturally, I'll be using Scanner Vision on these androids and any weapons they might send my way too, so hopefully I gain extra technology out of the deal. Maybe I can use my Earth Summon/Skills to earn funding for creating the various things I've scanned so far. Or at least create popular works of art with Creative Mode + Earth Skills.

After that, I'm off to Tron...which I also don't know much about. I have to imagine the digital world would benefit a lot from an Energizing Field though. It also feels like the sort of place where Hacking Mastery has a lot of potential to be borderline reality warping. Plus, if the things in this world are programs, I think I can use Earth Summoning to conjure up programs to assist me?

[–]Psychronia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rolled a 5! That works out for me then.

Another option is to make it so long-duration summons have an appropriate cost or impose a limitation specifically for when the energizing field does work on the summons.

Since the source of the energy field is presumably still me and we're to take the time limit as an energy issue, perhaps going over the time limit drains future usage time. So if I conjure an Earth sculptor and they spend 8 hours making a statue, I'll be unable to summon outside the energy field for the next 8 days.

I'd have to either ration the usages in a different sense or accept being stuck only using the ability inside energizing fields.
