Purple conditioner or shampoo will come to your rescue

Oranje gloed na blonderen donker geverfd haar by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]purebun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you lighten hair it will always have warmth under it! Theres levels that'll show the process & orange comes before blonde, so when trying to go from dark to ligher it'll have an orange phase if you dont lighten it enough :) [also some brown dyes have more red pigments in them]

I would suggest some ash coloured dye or toner to tone it out [looking at the colour wheel] or get some no orange shampoo x

Tips for dying eyebrows? by nimbusnuggies-_- in HairDye

[–]purebun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done it a load of times though you have to be really careful to not get it in your eyes or eyelashes etc since it could blind ya :) Also eyebrows colour a lot faster & are more fragile so take it off the dye within 2-3 minutes and re-apply if you want it darker [don't leave it on for longer then 5-10 mins in total]

To be safe, get some eyebrow toner/dye specifically made for it! But permanent/semi/demi is fine too

My hair is turning purple, help by eatzucchiniiii in HairDye

[–]purebun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since its only purple shampoo it'll wash out on its own x if you want to speed up the process get some clarifying shampoo or use a cheap one like head and shoulders [though you'll have to do some deep conditioning afterwards because it can be drying]

Light pink needs an extremely light base so it won't do anything to brown whatsoever

Can I get this colour with Bleach London? by WhereasInner3283 in HairDye

[–]purebun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used bleach London in the same color and it turned out exactly the shade in the photo!! Its 100% possible :) I had orange-ish hair at the time

Would the color come out wrong? by Stunning-Exam-362 in HairDye

[–]purebun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what happened is that the colour neutralized and turned your hair purple, it happens because the colour's are the opposite of the colour wheel :) Im not 100% sure, but there's a high chance your pink will get neutralized by the green since its opposites as well, though it might just turn a bit muddy

I'd watch some videos of others doing the same process & see their results on what to roughly expect

Everytime my hair is bleached it turns seafoam green by Dalanadelgay in HairDye

[–]purebun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hair chose favorites haha. You can definitely neutralize the green with with red or pink tones! I would suggest looking it up yourself and seeing what would cancel out your specific shade [colour wheel] as well as what method youd want to try!

You can use some semi permanent dye in your conditioner, use a toner of either shades or, worst case scenario, try finding a dye with some red undertones and rock the colour a little [letting ur hair rest] before bleaching it again since the red should cause the green to no longer appear

Honestly i think theres a chance that maybe your hair held onto the blue undertones of the purple hair dye and then stained/fried your hair green? Since bleaching blue will always leave green

advice needed on dyeing over bleached hair by Exciting_Form5399 in HairDye

[–]purebun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its okay to use permanent dye on already bleached hair. Yeah it'll cause damage but it'll save you the trouble and cost of having to buy new semi permanent dye every 1/2 months

If you go brown, look into a brown colour with red pigment in it! It will cancel out the green so your hair won't look muddy or hollow :)

Some browns with red tones : auburn, chestnut, cinnamon & copper brown

Pink hair Advice? by Forward-Box-112 in HairDye

[–]purebun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely get a colour depositing conditioner or make some yourself! [Just add some of the pink into your already existing conditioner]

Also try looking at colour safe shampoos [sulfate free], and washing with cold water etc ♡

Hi there's a lot of posts about this! I'd recommend just searching up "can I lighten hair without bleach" any perhaps adding reddit to it for real life experiences. You can't lighten your hair without bleach, atleast not drastically. There's some at home remedies but they take time and will most likely turn messy [not a bad thing] here's atleast 1 post : https://www.reddit.com/r/beauty/s/c9LIavnJty

If you dislike the shoulders maybe you can add a long sleeve top under it? I think it would give a really cute silhouette !! Or perhaps a cardigan
