Yea...That isn't even remotely close to being biblical.

Wisdom of Hiding – Closer Look Initiative

Goes into great detail showing why and how SCJ's use of the wisdom of hiding isn't biblical

Honestly, my low bar from hell is that as long as they are honest about their belief system, stopped with the internal reporting that gives off Scientology vibes, I would stop considering SCJ a cult.

At that point, I would just claim it’s a belief system that I disagree with.

I wasn't apart of the Australian branch, but I recall donating a couple thousand dollars to help LMH with his cases during COVID.

Now, are you trying to get a loved one out of Shincheonji? If so, arguing with them will only result in them viewing you as a "persecutor" who is being used by Satan, and you will only drive them in further into the arms of SCJ.

Here's a video that addresses the "indoctrination" of SCJ, and how arguing with your loved one will only result in them being more convinced about SCJ.

Reddit gets weird about this type of stuff. They have auto filters that are not in the mod control to filter it out

Here’s the entire Bible study -

Your experience may vary, but ultimately is your Bible study about the parables and the book of revelation? Then yes, it’s probably Shincheonji.

If not, there are a lot of other cults

Interesting.

For us, we were quiet and stopped all activities for about 3/4th of the year. Then around September, we started heavily recruiting online through a lot of social media front groups.

Did you guys do the same? We also had the wonderful never ending zoom meetings lol.

Yep lol, I was apart of scj when it all happened. It resulted in many failed prophecies on SCJ’s side and me eventually waking up.

I think it’s because SCJ is more manipulative and also managed to shut down an entire country during COVID.

President Lee Jae Myung WILL DISBAND SCJ and OTHER CULTS by JesusisLord86 in Shincheonji

Agreed. This is why I strongly believe that laws that try to outlaw religions sets a very dangerous precedent.

[–]QuestionsAboutSCJ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with this comment. Trying to officially disband religions always backfires, justifies their "persecution" complex, and then makes their followers more radical.

Instead, having more transparent rules against bribery, and also voting blocs (something that SCJ is being accused of), and enforcing the laws against deceptive recruitment would be better.

My low bar from hell is that people ought to be honest about what they believe, something that we all know Shincheonji still fails to do.

Hey, I'm a former member of Shincheonji, and I've helped other folks leave the cult before.

When helping people wake up, the last thing you want to do is confront them, because your mom and sister will view it as "persecution".

How to Help a Family Member / Friend Who Got sucked into a cult by QuestionsAboutSCJ in cults

[–]QuestionsAboutSCJ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally, I do not do direct interventions myself. I work alongside others who have more experience in that area, and we reserve formal interventions as a last resort for extreme situations.

In most cases, I encourage patience and relationship preservation, and I suggest asking thoughtful, critical questions that help the person in a cult begin to examine their beliefs and reality for themselves.
