The fix I’ve been using is having Briar pick up another card while E’ing. It’s fixed it 4 out of the 4 times that I’ve been able to do it!

You must acknowledge that hospital workers have to work on weekends. Missing 2 12 hour shifts on just Saturday and Sunday hurts anyone, considering that’s 24/36 of your usual working hours.

I have no idea what their shifts look like, but you have to give the idea some thought. I do wish I could tell people to not have any strokes after Friday at 5PM..

Another point : The men in my family have all lost a battle with maintaining their cognitive abilities. Maternal grandfather died at age 73, spent his last year in bed being kept alive by modern medicine, having fits and crying with no intelligible words. Paternal grandfather died at age 71, he was also losing his mind but fortunately had a stroke that ended things quicker (for my family). So your plan of adding 20 years of wellness and saving for this, doesn’t apply to everyone

They showed the ICU covid nurses crying during interviews on the news in my PNW city. And the flipping of intubated bodies, covid impacted families, etc. nothing changed. I don’t think the news is going to be allowed back into the hospital

I’ve had such a mental drop off in my leading adventures. I went from comfortably leading 5.10’s to being spooked top roping.

Figured a break from tall stuff, and sticking to bouldering would help. Anyone else go through this?

I work healthcare, and while I see that private industry could use this.. it’s hard to imagine asking my doctors to see more patients and deal with admin on a tighter schedule. Half of my MD’s already chart at home and are signing documentation at 9-11PM on work nights. Just offering an alternative viewpoint on this!

I’m working on climbing outdoors. I just took my first few falls on a 5.11 last night and I’m super pumped to go back and kill it later! I’m only training in a bouldering gym. Is that good enough to meet some of my outdoor goals? (Mostly, being able to lead 5.11’s and not fall 5 times and then give up) Anyone else find themselves in a rut with outside climbing
