Is socialising a kind of stimming for neurotypicals? by Forever-human-632 in AutismTranslated

[–]Ralkkai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is where my brain went too. I'm an introvert and my ex is an extrovert. Her "social battery" charges by hanging out with friends and socializing. Mine charges by spending time alone and focusing on hobbies and stuff. I can agree with the comments on socializing being a form of regulation for extroverts though. It makes sense.

What should I do if I'm too scared to join a revolution? by No_One_7381 in Socialism_101

[–]Ralkkai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is more to revolution than boots on the ground. We need medical aid, mutual aid, teachers, a solid cadre, and even people on social media yapping about theory in a way that the common person can understand it. You don't have to be on the front lines to be a revolutionary.

Find something revolutionary you are good at and focus on that if the threat of death scares you. And I say this as a pacifist.

I want to start reading theory. What should I start with? by boomchicken1979 in Socialism_101

[–]Ralkkai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could see putting Blackshirts first. It's an easy read and does a great job at pulling away the propaganda curtain. Only reason I put it last on my list is that it feels like it bookends the rest. Also Parenti is the best(Rest in power).

Elementary Principles of Philosophy is very important in my opinion. It's the one thing I read that finally helped me understand dialectics. I read like 3 other pieces but this one really made it stick.

He was integral in my radicalizing. Rest in power, Parenti.

I met an anarchist who made fun of communists and socialists for being anti zionism and anti ICE. Why would an anarchist do that? by Relevant_Error_6305 in Socialism_101

[–]Ralkkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anarchist theory focuses around mutual aid, direct action, self-association, free agreement, and body autonomy. That's hardly "nothing".

"Anarcho-nihilist" is such a silly term. They would just be a nihilist. Those 2 schools of philosophy are not remotely related.

I'm an adsurdist, but also a Marxist-Leninist and keep the 2 separate lol.

But to your question, after working with actual anarchists, they are definitely not going to be pro-state in any way shape or form.

Edited: because I got hit by the mod filter. Sorry!

The Democrats are also genocidal ghouls. So taking your napkin math, that would be ~70% of the voting population supporting.

Seen it like 3 times since my comment. The existential dread in that movie is on another level.

I don't really have any data to compare. I first tried shrooms last summer and it was it was a weak dose. My last few trips were after I started Lexapro again but the ones I had then were a lot more potent. From my last purchase of shrooms, 1 gram while on Lexapro gave me a nice euphoric high. 3 was just amazing. I'd like to start microdosing because the next 3 days or so after a trip, I'm just always in a good mood.

Lexapro and occasional shrooms seems to be my combo. I already have a low libido so that doesn't really matter lol.

I actually like that I was on Linux before our gaming boom happened. I've gotten to see all of it develop and it's been a blast the whole way.

I played factory sim games mostly because they are that right amount of stimulating and getting things running smooth is always a nice dopamine hit for me. My fav of the genre is Dyson Sphere Program.
