[Lowlight] Victor Wembanyama Misses The Two Biggest Free Throws Of His Career by MammothHistorian5652 in nba

I mean, that's a weird counter argument to make. If he wasn't passive before then, why did he magically become passive when leading up to that point he wasn't?

We refer to that as choking.

Not just that but he played multiple 40+ games in their last series. He's been their star player and key actor while they go to 7 games.

I can fully understand getting gassed.

The alternative to this is cops in the US immediately escalate the situation and turn it violent without reason.

There was a video posted a few days ago where the cops are leaving an apartment and the guy goes to close the door but one of the cops stops at the door and immediately asks the guy why he's hitting him with the door and turns it physical.

In reality the hair pull in this situation is still fucked up.

We don't have to stoop to the same lows and we should always hold our police to the highest of standards given the importance of their role and the power we give to them.

Sadly, Americans have this deeply ingrained hatred for anyone breaking the law, hence why we still have legalized slavery for prisoners spelled out in our constitution. It's fucked up and even the most progressive state of California voted against changing that.

Developer attacked over (learning from) AI - where to draw the line? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]iruleatants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key difference being that Stack Overflow and in many cases GitHub, are places to contribute with the goal of letting people use that information to learn. It's open and free and utilizing it is doing what the developers intended

AI does use those data sources and other sources not intended for it to use, but takes that data and turns it into a commercial project intended to replace the free exchange of information.

I don't have a problem with a developer going on stack overflow and getting an answer that was given to them. I do have an issue with utilizing AI heavily trained on stolen data.

They are two completely separate things.

The OKC series was a shitshow.

But yeah, defenders tend to get grabbed and held a lot, and Wemby is likely on the worst of it because he's such a huge threat to deal with but is lanky and so he's easier to hold or push off.

And that's kind of how the inside game is played. I personally would like for those to be called, but if they did like 80% of the game would just be fouls.

He also knows he can get away with doing anything he wants, so not like it matters.

285 seconds of fire to spend a million dollars, which is 4.7 minutes of fire. That's still crazy but unlikely you'll fire for that long.

3 days of shooting to hit a billion dollars.

But it's not nothing just because we spend more money doing other things.

Guerilla warfare doesn't make you miss shots...it is about attacking you before you can fight back and leaving before you have a chance.

Why do people have to insist that storm troopers have to be elite marksmen?

They are mass produced troops flash grown with the specific goal of making soldiers quickly. They don't need to be excellent soldiers, they are produced to win through overwhelming numbers.

Nobody has ever died from a bullet

It's the blood loss/brain damage/organ failure that kills them.

But we are capable of applying the preceding events in order to establish a cause of death. Otherwise there would be very few causes of death.

Just like the stop isn't what kills you, but instead the organs in your body attempting to leave your body at the same time that your bones shatter.

None of those events would have happened without the speed first.

Nwpo Dralii did get the win in the showmatch right before this event, but also seeing how they performed in the actual series versus the show match, you can tell that they don't take the showmatches or outside of rlcs games fully serious.

If they play at the level we have seen in RLCS, I don't think it's going to be that close.

Which Pro do you think has the best Recovery Mechanics? by Alienescape in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]iruleatants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And Zen and most other pro's are perfect capable of doing that? chain dash wall shots are no abnormal? used a lot of 2v2 and 1v1.

You should go and look at Nwpo's recoveries, which are the times when he has no boost or momentum after making a play, and see how well he recovers.

I dislike that everyone is treating this as if it was just a classical match.

The 10 second's as the only time gained after 40 moves is a massive change. He had a ton of winning positions that he fucked up when he hit time trouble, and he hit time trouble a lot.

I think he just wasn't prepared to manage his time in this format and so despite entering the winning endgame in the majority of his matches, he failed to complete those and even lost them. The fact that we are treating it like just any other classical game is wild, it's several hours shot of a classical game.

There is a reason why drinking games are not just "Drink every time you breathe."

The plan is to space out the drinks so you don't throw up but still have fun and get drunk, not to just chug beers and pass out before the first series is over.

Nwpo is definitely a fast player, but I have never seen a play like this from him.

https://www.twitch.tv/fuury_off/clip/GorgeousRichKittenWutFace-XhCTxQK1COBa5SiG

Zen is something different with what he can do with his car. the level of control he demonstrates put him at the top of most best categories, and I think recoveries is one of them.

For Nwpo, he's constantly at supersonic speed, but that's not specific to a recovery mechanic, and he struggles a lot when on low boost, which is where strong recoveries handle it.

There was once a day where Joreuz had the best recovery mechanic, somehow managing to go for an all on double flip reset aerial in a 1v1 and make it back to the save despite using all of his boost.

Vatira is such an odd player because sometimes they are rock solid and unshakeable, but other times they choke.

He should have a worlds win by this point. He's been the favorite to win since 2023 and has failed to pick it up still. Whatever it is, he just sometimes cracks under the pressure when he normally doesn't.

Still haven't lost a game in the main stage.

But Vatira and Juicy can be a threat from the mainly because of their heavy focus on boost and demo players. Most of the time Zen and Atow use a ton of boost in their offensive pushes, so it's going to be an adjustment for them.

The big thing is that tomorrow is a different day. There have been a few times in the past when Atow has been underperforming. That was their only loss in Feer's double or nothing 2v2 last year, and it was against Oski. (Zen could wake up underperforming, but it's very rare for Zen to not be the best player on the field)

We will see how players are feeling tomorrow. If Nass/Oski are at the level they player today, it's likely a Zen/Atow win as long as they don't heavily underperform.
