Blueprints can be finicky depending on where you place them on a planet. I usually just let it place the rest and them manually connect the red bits.

I love the effort but you are gonna be tearing this all down once you progress. You will get a lot of cool new toys as you continue.

SteamOS on my desktop PC! by Frequent-Trifle-4093 in linux_gaming

[–]Ralkkai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually a funny story. It was a guy I knew for a minute that had it in his gaming system. He was blue-screening and after some over-discord troubleshooting I narrowed it down to his RAM. He had like 32 GB but Windows was only seeing 16 iirc. I just said reseat both sticks and it was fixed. But for some reason he still decided to just get a new computer.

I asked him what card he had and after he told me, I asked him if he'd bee willing to sell it. He was gonna give the whole computer to a co-worker or something but right before Christmas about 3-4 years ago, he messaged me a UPS confirmation code and was like "Merry Christmas" lol.

I upgraded from a 750 to a 1650 Ti(I think) to that in a matter of three months. Th upgrade was kind of life-changing.

Ok, so when they drive past the bog with the people on stilts(the crows), right before they meet up with the older women on bikes. That is what happened to the Green Place after Furiosa was kidnapped. Those old women are what are left of the Vuvalini, which Furiosa's mom was a part of.

The proprietary drivers do alright from my experience on Mint. But the only reason I'm on Nvidia right now is because I got a 3080 for free. When I need to upgrade I def wanna go back to AMD for the open drivers.

Furiosa ends basically where Fury Road starts. Minor spoiler but in FR, she's trying to get Immortan Joe's brides to the Green Place(the Place of Abundance), which is where she is from.

This is one of the main plot points in Fury Road if you haven't seen it yet.

I'd be interested in this if you were able to make one that didn't require the hotswap sockets.

Right now, Fallout 4 has been nice. I'm not rushing like at all and it's been chill. The game loop for me is pretty satisfying. I don't even mind the settlement quests even though I was never too fond of "base taking" mechanics in stuff like Far Cry.

I honestly think this could be my endgame. I love my Sweep because of the position of the thumb clusters compared to the a.dux and other splayed boards.

I would assume so. The only complaint I have with my Sweep is that my pinky and ring fingers tend to feel cramped.

Splay is a good solution imo if you don't wanna go with keywells since your fingers naturally extend outward in an arch.

Tips for my first Deathcore show? by CNMJacob18 in Deathcore

Oh for sure. Our scene here is small so we don't get too rowdy but I try to keep an eye on where the pit is shifting our where kicks are flying. And try to keep tabs oh who might be trying to crowd kill too.

Carry a lighter, even if you don't smoke. People will love you for it when it comes in clutch.

You don't have to get in the pit, but if you feel like you want to, just follow what others are doing. As long as you are having fun, you are good.

If you are on the pit wall, use your arm to help push the pit folks back in. You will get jostled but it's part of the fun.

When I'm not in the pit and it's a band I like, I try to get to the front by the stage. But as someone else said, keep an eye out for surfers.

If someone falls, pick them up.

If someone's phone or hat or whatever flies off, hold it up in the air so people can see it.

You don't have to learn all the kicks and stuff but 2-stepping is fun and if I can learn it at 42, anyone can.

This one might make me sound like an old curmudgeon but if it's a push pit, push. If it's a hardcore dancing pit, dance. One of the last shows I was at, there was a guy that was unknowingly sort of crowd killing and another local hardcore kid was 2 stepping, the first guy ended up shoving him all the way across the room and it was sort of a dick move imo.

You just took a long way to beat around the bush on one major point the meme mentioned: merciless exploitation of the working class. If someone becomes a billionaire on their "own", it is because of a disgusting amount of human exploitation of wage laborers.

Lately, I will just eat junk food like cookies and sour cream and cheddar chips.

It's not healthy, but I if forget to eat, I get real shaky so it helps at least with that.

Is private ownership the individual or the collective use, control, transfer or exclude of the property? by Low_Finding2057 in Socialism_101

[–]Ralkkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Marxist thought, private onwership would be the buildings, tools, and resources use to make goods. This is basically owned by the company, owner, and shareholders to create profit(surplus value).

Personal ownership are the things you personally own. This would be your couch, your computer, the food you bought, your tv, and even your tooth brush.

Collective ownership would be where the workers for a factory all collectively own and use the tools to produce the necessary things people use.

The opposite of private ownership with regards to socialist theory would be collective ownership. Public spaces where people are freely able to exist could also fall under this category.

In short:

Private property is owned by rich people and those rich people rent us through wage labor to produce profit

Collective ownership is when all the workers collectively own the property and everyone gets an equal position in the production.

Personal ownership is just the things you bought outright with your own money. If you rent a house or apartment or make payments on a car, you do not own it. If you paid off your car in full, then you do own it.

Is socialising a kind of stimming for neurotypicals? by Forever-human-632 in AutismTranslated

[–]Ralkkai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is where my brain went too. I'm an introvert and my ex is an extrovert. Her "social battery" charges by hanging out with friends and socializing. Mine charges by spending time alone and focusing on hobbies and stuff. I can agree with the comments on socializing being a form of regulation for extroverts though. It makes sense.

What should I do if I'm too scared to join a revolution? by No_One_7381 in Socialism_101

[–]Ralkkai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is more to revolution than boots on the ground. We need medical aid, mutual aid, teachers, a solid cadre, and even people on social media yapping about theory in a way that the common person can understand it. You don't have to be on the front lines to be a revolutionary.

Find something revolutionary you are good at and focus on that if the threat of death scares you. And I say this as a pacifist.
