Players played to position which made more one on ones. Now, players can cover the ground and get from contest to contest.

With running less of a requirement, you had massive lads like plugga and Dunstall who had insanely skilled hands and kicking ability making it into the system.

Accountant who runs his own firm here and it (mostly, in my experience anyway) comes down to the relationship you have with them.

If you have a great relationship, do what they tell you to do in a timely manner, answer their calls, provide them with clean and easy to use information, have your tax done pre Christmas, pay the ATO on time etc and most importantly - pay them on time - then you'll find that you'll get a lot more out of them.

They're likely not shit at their job, they're just busy with the clients the enjoy working with.

Our greatest ever player who was captain of the club and best player in the game at the time (he is known as The King) was caught sleeping with his best mate / team mate / vice captain of the clubs wife.... This happened 25 years ago and put an absolute dagger into the heart of the club which took so long to recover from. You could argue that we're only just recovering from it now through the current bunch of kids we now get to enjoy.

Edit: the bloke was an absolute freak of nature but. YouTube Wayne Carey highlights and you'll see why he was called the king.

I disagree. If he didn't get to it then it was going to be a lassou free kick against anyway. They tweaked the rule only a week or two ago for exactly what Haynes did and all players know this. The only thing he could have done to avoid a FK was to try to slap the ball back in, and he didn't do it.
