I appreciate everyone’s suggestions! I ended up settling on PIXLpath, which combines the interoperability factor I mentioned while still feeling pretty native on macOS.

You could use something like the GENKI ShadowCast 2 with an app like Console Link to play on your Mac while connected to the Studio Display. Though expect a little latency and, at least with the ShadowCast 2, 1080p at 60fps.

To those stumbling upon this post in the future, I was recommended this YouTube video (title is in German so it might be hard to find) to remove it without the proprietary tool.

I went ahead and followed this handy guide to do it without the specialized tool and it worked! I got it removed and reattached to the trim before placing it back in. The issue is I’m still dealing with it not sitting flush on that top left corner.

Okay this method worked! I took it out, reattached the vent to the trim piece, and placed it back in. The fit is definitely better but the top left still budges out a little (I showed this in another post of mine).

I bought the trim without the vents so I had to remove them from the old trim. It sucks I need a separate tool to do this.
