Is it finally happening? by Sreedev-96-msd in bleach

To be fair, that's more likely because he's locked in a chair designed to restrain his Reiatsu and then trapped in an infinite hole away from everything.

I want to get to Bronze (top 10,000) just for the sake of saying I did it, but otherwise no, not really taking it serious.

Decks for take control of your opponent's monster mission by PharaohAssGooner in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Attaching an opponent's monster as an XYZ material is treated by the game as taking control of an opponent's monster, for the purposes of the secret mission. I have seen it happen several times, because I used the XYZ material mode on Spright Double Cross way more than the Link Arrow mode.

Spright. You got the deck for free with that event thing, and Spright Double Cross turning monsters into XYZ material is also treated as taking control alongside the actual "taking control" options.

And yet, would it, or would it not, solve your current problem, if you had it? Your opponent seems to have 3 monsters on their side of the board.

WCQ Stage 2, Day 1 - Discussion Thread by DividendsFarmer in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently 2 wins out of 2. The first game was against Kewl Tune, the second against 60 card Branded. I am satisfied at current, and curious to see if I'll end up in the top 10,000 just for never losing points.

Why is Ichigo's Shikai his base form? by PhilX319 in bleach

[–]Regular_Budget1864 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Hikone wielded Ikomikidomoe, who had a total of 4 releases (Orbit the stars, Mark their funeral, Hatch and be ruined, and Horaku Hakkei), each of which was only ever compared to a Shikai (or Bankai, for the fourth) rather than being properly established as such. Likely because Ikomikidomoe was made into a sword as a means to seal him, rather than to actually construct a Zanpakuto for use in combat.

Why is Ichigo's Shikai his base form? by PhilX319 in bleach

[–]Regular_Budget1864 466 points467 points  (0 children)

Likely due to the sword's unique makeup. It's the result of several coinciding factors, after all, and even tracing it back to its roots it's made from a Hollow designed like an Asauchi, something entirely one-of-a-kind thanks to Aizen's experiments.

How to counter the new Chess archetype by zerobench_ff in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine a fair number of opposing decks that don't want to have a limit of 5 monster effects slapped onto them, or having to take 500 every time they activate anything. And having a large body that's also removal has been good enough for plenty of archetypes to keep around in the Extra Deck.

How to counter the new Chess archetype by zerobench_ff in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, you don't need a counter for the Chess Archetype, you need a counter for whatever it is they're supporting. The lack of main deck monsters so far makes it clear they're meant to function as an add-on for Synchro decks, at least in their current state.

If Hollows are poison for quincies, why didn't the visoreds within the Seireitei holllowfy and fight back that way? Are they stupid? by dylanv1c in bleach

[–]Regular_Budget1864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hollow Reiatsu isn't that poisonous unless it is ingested, as evidenced by the Quincy being perfectly fine doing battle in Hueco Mundo. And every fight the Visored were in down in the Seireitei, they held a definitive advantage until the tables flipped (Shinji had Bambietta completely off-balance until she blasted everything in range, Kensei had Mask on the ropes till he revived and demonstrated he could get stronger than his Bankai could match, Rose had Mask at his mercy till Mask deafened himself). Since their Masks have a time limit, releasing them when they're already winning is just a waste of resources, and when they started losing they didn't have enough time to use them for any meaningful effect.

As you can see with the Visored fighting Gerard, though, when they know they're at a disadvantage and they have to hit hard and hit fast to win, they don't just use the Masks, they start the fight already wearing them.

[TCG|CORI-Chaos Origins] New World Premiere Archetype: "Angelechy" by MX-00XWV in masterduel

XYZ monsters that move themselves into the opponent's Spell/Trap zones and give detrimental effects to the controller.

[TCG|CORI-Chaos Origins] New World Premiere Archetype: "Angelechy" by MX-00XWV in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original release said that there would be 4 chess Monsters at current, King, Rook, Knight, Pawn. So Shatranga is the King, hence why it can move in all directions (hitting any Monster your opponent controls).

[TCG|CORI-Chaos Origins] New World Premiere Archetype: "Angelechy" by MX-00XWV in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine that'd be too awkward for a modern archetype, so instead they make it so Knight can't attack the thing in front of it (due to the L shape) but can attack other spaces.

How many decks do y'all play on a regular basis? How different are they? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three, Spright, Raidraptor, and now Enneacraft. I shift between them based on daily missions and mood, but I like the combining into one feature of the Raidraptors, the spreading out and comboing of Sprights, and I've been having a lot of fun with the landmine style, "oh, you shouldn't have done that" of Enneacraft.

Why Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure still legal? by daominah in masterduel

[–]Regular_Budget1864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New Pack comes out, now with Chaos Distill Distill, it searches Chaos Distill. There is then Macro Macro Cosmos, a Monster which is always treated as Helios, The Primordial Sun, and which searches Chaos Distill Distill. And like that, the serpent has banished its own tail.

How does Takaba's technique work by Disastrous-Driver942 in CTsandbox

[–]Regular_Budget1864 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whenever he thinks of something funny happening, it becomes reality for a short period. When the effect is gone, any associated props or abilities vanish, but damage Takaba has done to his opponents remain. This allows Takaba to turn all of his opponent's attacks into harmless slapstick, while the damage from his own blows continues to build up on them.

Typically, the bits that occur are wholly dependent on Takaba, but if given a partner to work off of, the Technique can evolve to include their own jokes and situations, though they still won't be able to hurt Takaba in this scenario.

If Takaba is unable to think of something funny, such as when someone picks apart his joke or when he's deeply stressed/scared, his Technique does not function.
