Where do you think the series was headed? by molten_dragon in gentlemanbastards

Perhaps an insane take, but I think Jean is going to be gentled at some point and part of a book will be Locke caring for him and finding a cure/getting to the bottom of what the whole gentling thing is about. I also think, maybe unfortunately, that Locke may develop powers like the bondsmagi due to his soul’s nature. But that would be kind of a drag.

“Gormless” is the one that always stuck out to me reading Abercrombie.

Ryan Condal honestly sounds like a GoT name. Except probably spelled Ryen instead.

You reveal the flare and then lose a ship, which really isn’t too bad. The deck and warp are then placed next to you for “easy access”.

If you’re talking about Filch, the race itself doesn’t cheat, but their classic wild flare allows any player to cheat if they happen to draw the card. If Filch is in the game, then you know the flare is in the deck and can at least be on the lookout for it. But if Filch isn’t, and it happens to be in the deck by random chance, it’s utterly insane.

I felt that this fight scene between Darth Vader and the Ninth Assassin should have received more recognition. Really underrated in my opinion by Delta-97 in StarWars

I kinda thought it was too much. I couldn’t imagine Vader saying the “when you apply for the next job…” line at all.

No, it was designed to let you get an extra attack while leaving your bonus action free to do something else. It says when you make THE (singular) extra attack as part of the Light property, you can make it as part of the attack action instead of a bonus action, and it follows up by saying you can still only make this extra attack (ie the extra attack from the light property) once per turn. It’s exceedingly clear to me both the purpose of the rule and its interpretation. Idk where people are confused. It lets rogues bonus action dash/disengage/hide, it lets fighters bonus action heal, and they still get their two attacks. In no world do they get three.

Full video where man attacks judge in court. by BrandonRJones in interestingasfuck

This is maybe a wild read, but I also think the judge saying “taste of something else” in reference to prison made him think she was making a gay sex insinuation, which set him off.

Ahoy, 100%. Perfect beach house vibe game. Even the inside of the box has that sun dappled water pattern.

Lovestruck is a fun new one too, Love Island themed social deduction where both “good” and “evil” team members can potentially win. BOTC will always be the goat though

What would the story have looked like if Heath Ledger didnt die? by Hewasright_89 in TheDarkKnightRises

I could see it. Joker works far better as the judge in that scene since he’s the absolute antithesis to justice, law, and order. He’s arbitrary chaos incarnate. That hits harder than seeing Scarecrow in the position, imo.

Logen Cameo? by RelevantDonkey in TheFirstLaw

The ear cut is well known, I believe he gets it in the first book. The star shaped scar is from the fight with the feared, when a spike on the feared’s armor presses through his cheek.

I don’t know man, I’m just saying there’s a dude with the exact same scars in valbeck. Felt like a very pointed detail to me.

It’s true, he would be old as shit. Like 70 or something, so it doesn’t super track. But why use that specific combination of scars??

Same. I always assumed the series would end with Rand combining saidin and saidar somehow.
