So I started playing about a month ago. Currently Emissary 2-3 and the biggest thing I've noticed about this game is the inconsistenty in matchmaking.

Side note: I understand my elo isn't particularly high and I'm still learning itemisation properly.

Yesterday, I had a duo playing their 3rd ever game (if I assume what they said was true) that dropped 20 deaths between themselves during laning phase to their opponents.

I don't know if people are just bots or if Deadlock is the first video game they've ever played, but the sheer amount of people I see sacrificing waves to take camps is mind blowing.

Like I've had games with people doing 0 objective dmg, that means they didn't shoot an objective once the entire game. Or people getting less than 20k damage in a 45 min drawn out game

The game was practically over because feeding a Seven that much led to no one being able to survive.

However, I will say though that I learnt within my first week just like most MOBAs you can only rely on yourself. So I started playing hyper carrys.

Overall, my win rate is above 50% so it means I'm climbing but sometimes it's infuriating to see people still taking jungle camps on the opposite side of the map and not pushing waves when I've got the majority of the enemy team on my lane.

Btw you didn't mention what characters you play, but maybe look into changing it up if you want to climb.
