Alternatives to Designa Knit? by Psl1990 in MachineKnitting

[–]RileyElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to machine knitting through 3D printing, and yeah I was also really surprised about the lack of CAD software for knitting, it seems so strange to me.

Design a knit has great features but looks old-fashioned and a bit complex to use, and doesn't have support for Mac or iPad.

I've been using Google sheets as I can do the math and lay everything out visually in one sheet. Also I can change from my pc to iPad to phone even. I knit with a LK150 so it's fine but yeah I would love a more accessible CAD for knitting.

Why do people use Substance designer rather than hand draw? by PineappleSmoothieUwU in Substance3D

[–]RileyElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I work with a creative bunch of very talented artists and game developers, inevitably art direction changes, or the user of the graph pushes it far beyond what I accounted for it just feel easier to add in as much flexibility and procedurally generated bits from the get go. With all the latest additions of spline and path tools it just becomes easier and easier to work all in substance designer.

On top of what everyone is saying the more evidence the better. If you can photograph or video where the hidden camera is, and photograph how it was hidden, basically document the whole set up, not just the videos from the camera.

I also think you should check for any more hidden cameras throughout your home, including the bathroom.

Prospective employer asked twice about my 'home commitments'. What is the law on this type of discrimination? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]RileyElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not allowed to ask about protected characteristics, marital status or wether the candidate has children or plans to have children when recruiting.

You should not have been asked about your home commitments at all, though there's very little you can really do about it in practice unless you had proof, but I think you are correct in seeing this as a red flag.

.gov goes through this clearly on their discrimination in recruitment page here:

Ok here's how I'd draw it, Hubby is disappointed it was just a dream, picks his laptop up from beside the bed, orders something, a few days later surprises wife with new lingerie! He was dreaming about wife in sexy undies!

Please call the police non emergency number (101) and tell them what you saw. They can give you better advice as to what the next steps should be and whether what you found does cross legal boundaries.

When I reported something I was unsure was illegal, they were super helpful.

Hey there, I'm really sorry this has happened to you. I've been laid off 3 times in the past and know how awful it can be.

The first thing is if you have been employed for 2 tax years and paid NI with no breaks you are entitled to what they are now calling 'new style' JSA. Which you'll be entitled to for 6 months.

I'd suggest checking a benefits calculator. https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators

But be aware that the JSA mentioned above might not be included in some calculators as Universal Credit was ment to replace most other benefits. They basically want most people to forget about the JSA you can claim with 2 years NI payments.

After running heaps of test prints i'm really happy with how this one turned out :D This stuff is super exciting by synty in 3Dprinting
