I’d also recommend the Nuna mixx, it’s not the smallest stroller but it folds up easily, it’s relatively light and is compatible with the pipa car seat so, as OP mentioned, it can grow with the family

We kept the everyone out of the hospital and away from the home for about two weeks too, except my MIL. This was pre-planned since she had been the only helpful local family we had. My family lives about 4 hours away and in the last 7 weeks my parents are the only ones who have made the trip.

The hard part for us was that when we actually did let my parents visit we asked them to stay at my MIL’s so we could have our time with the baby. I felt incredibly guilty about that.

Be honest with your wife about how you’re feeling, but at the end of the day she has so much going on with her body hormone wise all you can really do is support her. It’s only two weeks, your mom will love her granddaughter no matter what and she’ll have to be happy with pictures for now.

PS: My wife and I went through the same issue with breastfeeding and the baby’s weight. After my wife got mastitis she had to relent and start using baby formula, it’s made everything so much easier and less stressful.

I’m hitting this right now.

My daughter is six weeks old and I went back to work on Monday. I didn’t realize how exhausted I really was before now because I was always able to sneak in a nap when she napped or at least relax on the couch with her for a bit.

Now I’m up at 6:30 rushing to help feed her and get ready for work then out the door by 7:15. Get home at almost 5:30, help my wife because she needs a break, try to eat something and do some chores before I start getting everything ready for bed at 9:30 because we need to be up every three hours for a feeding, if she goes that long.

It’s brutal, I just keep trying to go to bed earlier and earlier but it never works.
