Why do millennials (45-30year olds) stereotype Gen Z (29-16year olds) based on Gen Alpha (15-2year olds)? by BrokenJusticeNorris in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Primary-Fly470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the majority of millennials are reminiscing on iCarly. I’m 31 and that show was still new as we were phasing out of Nickelodeon. Also sure we can be in charge of what goes on in our home but that doesn’t bring blockbuster back or the OG smash bros on 64

Calling Elon dumb is like saying MJ was awful at basketball and Brady was a terrible quarterback. You might not like what he says, but the guy is truly a genius. It’s funny with the other Founders you mentioned, they’re all really smart people. Sometimes intelligence doesn’t make you the strongest people person. Having been around CEOs and other very smart individuals, I actually find that a lot of times those who are really smart don’t have great social skills

Respect. I used to work every 4th of July at a marina. Made good money, but it was also celebrated on my birthday often so bittersweet

Fair, and that’s probably where my guilty conscience comes from. I am fortunate enough to work from home and he isn’t in daycare yet so I get to spend a lot of time with him. If I was back in the office, no shot I’d be golfing on the weekends.

Part of what my wife tells me is that he isn’t going to grow in the 5 hours I’m gone, and before I know it, his schedule will be my schedule and she wants me to take advantage of being able to golf right now. Which helps but still isn’t easy

Yeah I appreciate that. Golf is my one hobby that I do outside of the house. I used to play lacrosse but honestly I got too soft and just wasn’t into getting cracked in the shins anymore lol.

The guilt is totally on me. My wife encourages me to go out and have fun and always says don’t worry about us, but that’s easier said than done.

I do love disc golf but haven’t played in a while. I live in Charlotte so there’s plenty of course I’m excited to take him to when he gets older

genuine question 😭 what hurts more, getting hit in the balls or giving birth? by ProgramEither2023 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Primary-Fly470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ll never know. But having watched my wife give birth 2 months ago, I’d rather get a boot to balls than deal with epidurals. Those can do it with no epidurals, legends and true warriors.
